Pete’s already posted it.

Yeah the prices are crazy when you consider it opens a week later. If it was like one to two months out maybe. I won’t get to see the film until May. I’m at the fests in April for 25th BIFFF in Brussels, then Nippon Connection in Frankfurt, then either 23rd Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival or Udine. Then back to the states to see GRINDHOUSE!!!

If I was 18, and I had the money, I’d get a VIP ticket.

Go the the Amsterdam Film Festival… I’ll be there as well this time.

Amsterdam Film Festival? tell me more about it, sounds good

Yeah. Amsterdam is cool full stop, lol.

Bloody-Disgusting is giving away five(yes! five) grindhouse posters…

I’m still waiting to see how much overlap there will be between 23rd Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival and BIFFF, once Amsterdam releases its full lineup. In addition if it has enough other new films I haven’t already seen. I’ve heard nothing but great things about the fest. I browsed some past schedules and they definitely looked like fun with lots of great repertory type screenings.

What you are essentially saying is youd rather see QT making movies that arent fantastical like Kill Bill. You want him to stay in reality.

[/quote]

At some level I suppose yes, but then I think QT could make an amazing flick about anything in whatever genre he chooses and hopefully GH/Death Proof will prove that. Like I’ve already said the trails look awesome, I loved the opening of the first one with the girl crashing out on the sofa, post modern/referential cinema at it’s best which is something I felt Kill Bill fell just short of.

Either way, when Grindhouse arrives at the local multiplex I’m going to be in that queue… (hopefully near the front)

QT and Death Proof make cover of Creative Screenwriting:

I never knew that there was such a magazine…do you think that creative screewriters read it? Are there any articles about sliding your script under a bathroom stall where QT is taking a dump?

Just found this out…Jennifer Hudson was gonna be in Death Proof but Quentin Tarantino didnt want her(Thanks QT!) anyway thats weird huh?

First reviews are up!! :

Spidermonkey And Merken Muffley Have Our Very First GRINDHOUSE Reviews!!

They said its shite basically. But I wouldn’t trust them at all.

Yeah, both reviewers trashed the films! Ughhh! I sorta expected this thing from some of the news paper critics as RR all but said Grindhouse would get slammed in the press, but I didnt expect this from that site. I feel a little funny right now. I hope its as good as I want it to be. Could they have made the films "bad’ on purpose? Its worth poining out each reviewer did not agree on which was the better of the two films.

I also wonder will people here be able to handle being truthful if it really does suck.

Wow, those two reviewers were at complete apposites about QT’s half. I think, with me personally, I won’t like the film as much when I go watch it, but after getting the DVD and watching it a few more times, I will grow to love it just like I did Kill Bill. It takes me a while to really see the genius in a film. I’m glad QT’s half is full of dialogue, if it’s anything like that in his first 3 films, I’m going to love it. I didn’t like how the 2nd reviewer thought the dialogue felt forced, because that’s exactly how it feels in parts of Kill Bill. I hope he isn’t losing his touch on his dialogue, but then again he has said that he has written some of his best dialogue in DP and the first reviewer absolutely loved it. Hmmm… only time will tell I guess. I’m so glad it’s not being cut in the UK, I cannot wait to watch it.
