I was just thinking and I wonder if Lisa Wong, the woman who tried to kill Bea at LA, is somehow related to Toby Wong, who is discussed in Reservoir Dogs. Some sort of reference, perhaps?
The way Bill pronounces her name reminds me of the way Joe Cabot pronounces Toby Wong in RD.
Isn’t it funny how Budd is despective of blondes (“she was just smart for a blonde”) when in Reservoir Dogs Michael Madsen’s codename was Mr. Blonde?
^ That is a very, very interesting point you have there my friend!

What the hell is a “despective”?
I think I meant disrespect or something, I don’t know why I came up with that word.
Just uploaded a scene from Rage of the master 1971, that may have a possibly may have been referenced to by the Crazyt 88 scene.

QT has said in the a interview that “The Chinese Boxer” was inspired by the fight with the crazy 88.
yea chinese boxer was the inspiration for it but there where probably other film references in there, plus even if he did not reference to that film it is pretty close, With him walking with all the people running out and all. And im still not convinced that he did not take stuff from the fist of fury fight scene.
just did these screenshots. ain’t it cool? sorry if that’s been posted already.
Haha, that’s awesome. Nice observation!!
thanks.
I was watching an episode of Matlock today(episode:The Godfather)and he said something like:I’m gonna kill Billy. I was just wondering if this could have anything to do with Kill Bill, I doubt it but you never know what QT will reference.

Odd, same line in said in the film ninja squad.
You know, the part in “The Origin of O-Ren” where the Mexican navy officer gets his brains splattered all over the car is reminiscent of what happened to Marvin in Pulp Fiction.
I was watching Casablanca a few minutes ago and there was this really great scene, well an expositional scene to let us know why Ilsa left Rick in France. Anyway this scene the way it played out reminded me so much of Kill Bill Vol. II, where Beatrix finally reveals the motive behind her “escape” from Bill. It’s really a great comparison if you guys watched it. But that aside Casablanca is really one hellva movie, it dosen’t mess around everything is just so perfect. Greatest performance ever by Ingrid Bergman, man I love her style, she can’t be compared to anyone today.
I was watching Marty Scorsese’s american film documentary and It the part about Duel in the Sun and Jennifer Jones gets shot and turns around and cluthes her chest like Uma when she’s “shot” by BB.
When Beatrix goes to met Esteban she says he is the leader of the acuna boys. I’m wondering if this could be an reference to Rolling Thunder, when Charles Rane stabs the guy at the bar with his hook and asks him about T-bird and automatic slim he says that sounds like the acuna boys.
I think The Acuna Boys is a reference to El Mariachi. That film took place in Acuna.
Correctamundo!
