it was posted on this topic?

I duuno about this topic but if you got to the Wiki it’s there.

I think the scene was inspired by The Chinese Boxer i think QT even said so in a interview.

I don’t know if this has been mentioned, but in the last fight scene of Yojimbo Sanjuro lets a young Yakuza go. He says that children shouldn’t play with swords and tells him to go home to his mother. This is like the HOBL fight with Bea letting the boy go.

The Axe Gang actually goes back to historical fact. They were a real gang and they supposed wore black, both Jackie Chan and Stephen Chow confirmed this, but I can’t find too much about them. They’re like the Ducky Boys in America.

yea he was with jet lee on some show and he always talks about how much he loves Chinese boxer when is it getting released on dvd?

damn I never hear dabout the Chinese Boxer…is it good?

yes it is fantastic. the french title translates as: karate fighting to death for a fistful of soya

I was watching Karate Bear Fighter last night and as the opening credits played suddenly I heard some of the music from the KB House of Blue Leaves fight in there. Pretty cool!

i’m sure you’ve already gone throught this but where does the “now your feature presentation” comes from?

Im thinkin 70s grindhouses. and grindhouse releasing when they made dvds had it on there.

I’m not sure if this is a reference but the way “The Godfather” pops up on screen, followed by “Part III” (or whichever part it is), reminds me of the way “Kill Bill” pops up on screen followed by “Volume 1”.

Thats a real drive-in/grindhouse prevue title from the 70s. They used that swirling background for different title cards too like: Coming Soon, Prevues of Coming Attractions, Our Feature Presentation. Ive seen it on old trailer reels before.

Yea there are a few reels of trailers with this in it floating around youtube.

woh that’s great

Elle Driver is a mix between Patches from Switchblade Sisters and One eye from Thriller. Patches is the character background for Elle(always seems Jealous) and One eye because of the style of eye patches she wears.
