different european versions? is that a fact? i´ll be pissed off if i see anything different on the sept. 18th DVD than the eu-version i saw 4 times.
Death Proof (extended)
Planet Terror (extended)
Grindhouse
there should´t be more cuts or versions.
[/quote]I totally agree!
an early review:
TOP 15 Best DVD Releases of 2019 - Select a Good Movie to Watch
NO thanks to specialops media for supplying me with a pre-release dvd… NOT… damn them…
well enjoy it. please send in YOUR review once you got em, I will publish them all, just out of spite
i should be getting mine this friday or saturday, as soon as I do Ill write up a review for ya!
I suppose DVD doesn’t include “fake trailers”… Or it does?
No, it doesn’t
Best Buy will have Death Proof available tomorrow. I’m in Arizona and I noticed a price difference Between Best Buy and Walmart of about $10. Ten bucks seems a bit excessive. I’m wondering if they both contain a two disc dvd set w/ special features. Or does that additional ten dollars have something to do with the limited edition steel box? I’ve got to check my bank account. If all goes well I’ll own a copy in a few hours and (if anyone is interested) let you know what exactly is and is not on it.
Though this sounds promising, I’m gonna wait for the Grindhouse DVD. Or try to, that is.
im buying it today. Steel case obviosly.
according to a poster on IMDb, the 3rd disc in the Best Buy Steel Book has a 20 min. featurette that probably was on TV.
lame…i´d rather watch that on YouTube or somewhere else and spare the extra cash. i dont need a steel case either, since i don´t plan on banging it against anything.
I got an email my order was shipped out, so I should be getting it at the end of the week, hopefully sooner!
Mine came. That was fast. I pre-ordered it, and it came when I woke up! The steelbook. The 3rd disc looks silly, in a white sleeve by itself, and it will fall out of the dvd case when you open it, so watch out. lol.
But what’s on the 3rd is the “Welcome to the Grindhouse” thing we all seen on TV!
This steelbook is way better than the pictures of it.
It looks good next to the Reservoir Dogs steelbook. lol.

Ended up getting mine at Target. It comes with a $5-off coupon for Planet Terror, but I was planning on getting PT at Best Buy :-</E>
BTW, I kept the DVD in my back of my pants-pocket as I was walking around other stores. The slipcover is all dented and smashed to hell thanks to that mistreatment I gave it. But it now matches the wear and tear of both the movie and the packaging! 8)
No QT commentary WTF!!! This is abysmal, why dosen’t QT ever do a commentary track, it will only take him a few fucking hours. I bought the movie at Target, I’m glad that I already own, but if you ask me the best thing about a DVD is the commentary and it dosen’t even have one! Did anyone else hear that the PT DVD release was being delayed…came to me in short notice.
Bio, you KNEW there was no QT commentary. Cmon dawg!! He NEVER does them. Watch the damn movie. Forget the audio track.
I laready saw the movie, I just wanted more - Robert Rodriguez makes one hellva DVD, he has that 10 min flick school and always does a commentary track, it was too bad they delayed the Planet Terror DVD, it just isin’t the same - I wanted to watch both films then listen to the commentary track - but that ain’t gonna happen is it! IS IIIIIIITTTTT!!! >:(
BTW 3:10 To Yuma is fantastic - I saw it today 10/10
Well I’m happy with just having the movie on DVD myself. I prob wont buy Planet Terror on DVD. Ill wait til the big Grindhouse set.

You can’t buy Planet Terror it’s not even out yet! They delayed the DVD release, I was looking forward to seeing it without the missing reel which takes out most of the fun.
I know its not out yet. Im just sayin Im gonna wait til the GH box set.
Going through the DVD as I speak. Aside from the “missing reels”, a bunch of deleted footage is in this version. Not just brand new scenes per se, but just about every character in the movie gets about 10 more lines to speak.
Another interesting thing I found is that an Italian audio track is included. In case you didn’t notice, Italian tracks rarely appear for Region 1 releases. It’s always French and Spanish. Methinks this might’ve been intentional for the sake of “Grindhouse”. Heh. I gave the track a listen anways. Cool stuff.
