Wolf Creek (2005)

Wolf Creek – 4/5

Lacks originality but it doesn’t hurt the film too much as this combines 70’s terror and best parts of modern cinematography very effectively. The characters are exceptionally good, and the director does excellent job introducing them before turning the horror circus on. As a result you feel for the characters, and that’s what makes this film more powerful than 98% of the other genre stuff.

And I ain’t fucking going to Australia after this ;D

I suggest we all get a fight ticket to JP and meet in a school girl party

oh why did I have to bring this up in this topic? Forgive me my spam. Mod can delete this if he so feels.

No its alright everybody is entitled to a little spam every now and then

(back on topic) Wolf Creek is really an excellent horror movie and I would say its the best thats come out in the last 10 years.

SPOILER

It’s been a quite a while since I saw this, but I remember one particular stupid scene in which the main actress is in a garage full of TENS of cars and is trying to get away from the killer. Coincidentally, she goes into the ONE car in which the killer was hiding in the backseat. That’s a pefect case of lazy screenwriting right there, in the same vein as the scene with Paxton running over those bitches in the first Hostel.

You might add a few spoiler warnings there, Scar.

the part that scar was talking bout was pretty cliche, but it then goes into some pretty dialouge when he does what he did to her… saves writing the spoiler lol

SPOILER

Sticks the knife in her spine “That all you are is a haed on a stick” hahahaha

From an interview with writer/director Greg McLean, which was conducted by Ryan Turek:

Question: There’s an almost dutiful sense of research behind some of the torture scenes, like the “head on a stick.â€
