i agree with “me” its alot better than most of the present day horror movies, and besides im an Australian and this was easily the best Australian film since “chopper”. I really loved the cinematography!
this might be one of the best thrillers i have seen, it has that weird documentary feel to it that keeps you waiting on the edge of your seat. and the directing is pretty cool.
Dont know if its the best thriller i’ve ever seen but wolf creek is definitely one of the better films of 2005.
its just blunt, hard hitting cinema thats meant to shock you, well done to the director hopefully his next film is as good or better

[/quote]That is absolutely correct. Ever since the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre came out, every horror film out there has followed the exact same formula. Movies like: Cabin Fever, Wrong Turn, House Of 1000 Corpses, Wolf Creek, Detour, etc. It will never stop, Jesus Christ it dosen’t stop!!! Not to mention all these Asian horror movie adaptations: Premonition, The Ring, The Grudge. . .
Just because Quentin says it’s one of the scariest film’s he’s ever seen, it dosen’t make it fucking so. I saw this film and was absolutely repulsed at this mean-spirited plot. I wish we would see great films like Silence Of The Lambs or Predator. But all we see today is mindless gore. Like The Hills Have Eyes II, that film was a piece of shit. I think Wes Craven’s son spent way too much time playing Gears Of War. He should quit while he’s ahead.

Yeah but aslong as this keeps working its gonna keep getting ripped off and i could watch a million of these kind of movies and never get tried of them. to bad you didnt enjoy I thought it was a great horror movie. Wolf Creek was a great movie for 2005.

The horror genre has always had its rules and conventions…all of the above (and more besides) is exactly what we EXPECT from a horror film. Now I’m not saying Wolf Creek has an especially amazing plot, but at the same time you can’t knock it for having similar plot elements to loads of other horror films.
it was good because it used tired old plot lines, but presented them in a new, interesting and modern way.
i bought it and thought it was pretty good. John Jarret was amazing in it, QT and RR both said they love this film and that the character Mick was amazing, which i agree with…for slasher film fans, you probably will like it, however, as others have told, the ending is too fast and just isnt that good at all
What i liked about this film was it did things that i always think about, when watching this type of film, but never see… like putting myself in the situation… for example when ben escapes and just runs into the middle of no where… i thought that was awesome because usually in these sorts of plots running away isnt an option ( usually because they are in the middle of no where ) But i always think… that id rather take my chances then face a grizzly death fooling around there… anyway thats exactly what i would have done…
