What the point of MR BLUE anyway? [Too many dogs]

#1

For what reasons is Mr BLUE casted in this film. For a start he is 10 - 20 years older than all the other actors. Then he hardly ever talkes and you only see him in the cafe chomping his cigar, and then next thing he is dead as a dilenger in the car.

Also why are there so many dogs. Joe says that this is meant to be a ‘4 man job’ There are 6 dogs (inc. blue) why does QT allow for such an error.?

#2

Because it was a small part for Eddy Bunker who played blue, he was the casting director for the film and also he was a real criminal when he was younger. And if u pay attention to the film Mr. white says about a few weeks back this was a four man job but they found out one of the men was a rat.

Because he was ;D

Does it really matter?

#4

Because you need a good amount of Dogs otherwise the team is too small. Plus it is Eddy Bunker…'nuff said.

#5

The point of Mr. Blue was to say “What do you want her to do? Suck your dick?”, then die.

#6

Blue fucking owns. Not all the parts can be equal :stuck_out_tongue:

All men are equal, just some men are more equal

Its like asking what happened to victim number 143 in Hard Boiled. He has to be there, I dont want him to have the same screentime as CHow Yun Fat, because it would take a 378468324692 hour movie to establish that.

Blue had a cool line, looked like a true dog and his part got ended in time.

Kind of like that children’s song “there was an old lady who swallowed a fly”…“no one knows why she swallowed the fly, perhaps she’ll die”…what’s the point of the cat…to swallow the bird who swallowed the spider who swallowed the fly, perhaps they’ll die.

In my opinion, Mr. Blue made the movie.

Bar none.

#9

Hahaha! We got a blue afficionado here 8)

My points exactly

#11

He’s like your background cast. Like, in those kids sports movies. You need the right number to make a football team, but you only really focus on the quarter back and a couple of his friends. Otherwise, character development will get insane and drag out a film.

And besides, I love a little mystery in a film…and Eddie Bunker is freaking awesome.

Picture the film without Blue.

I just did and I feel a terrible void :frowning:

#12

Old guys can’t be in the gang? Who made that rule?

#13

Hahaha, zeds dead got completely owned in this topic.

#14

I see that!

Because he fucking wrote Straight Time (aka the novel No Beast So Fierce).

This topic is stupid.

You mean, “What’s special, take you in the back and suck your dick”. He also is in it becuase he says the beautiful line “how many dicks was that”. There really was no need for him to be in it, there were too many people. It was a five man job, so i guess having him in there is a factual error. However, i liked him in it and thought it only helped the movie, not hurt it.

[/quote]How many exactly would you have in the Dirty Dozen?

There were too many people? Haha, now that’s a new one. How many banks did you rob to make you reach that conclusion?
