I wouldn’t go so far as to say I hate it. Hate is a strong word. I hate to love it, so I don’t.
I still love your maniac tendencies though, Sam (RIP).
Titanic was a great movie and i agree with WeaselCo.
Any film that makes 2 billion worldwide crosses the “people are stupid” line. You can say that for a pretty successful film, but any film that makes that much is more than just a case of stupid people.
WeaselCo is the most consistent person. Sure, i don’t always agree with his tastes (i am a big Jarmusch fan and that includes coffee and cigarettes), but WeaselCo has fucking good taste in films.
Gigli is a masterpiece

Thanks Angel, assuming you mean that in a positive way.
Yeah, as a good thing. You have broad taste. I hate people who only watch Hollywood offerings, but AS WELL i also hate people who as a rule don’t watch anything Hollywood makes.
Hollywood makes as many good films as everyone else.
And no one seriously doesn’t like anything Hollywood makes cause that is so fucking impossible (note that this is not directed at anyone specifically on this forum, just as a point).
I am a huge arthouse fan, but i don’t like to phrase it like that. Because arthouse films to me are not arthouse, they are just entertaining films like any other genre.
But, i am basically preaching to the converted here. Most people here seem to have good tastes.
I think Mr. Pink needs to seperate the last 2 pages into a separate topic. Like did Titanic really suck or Yes I Want Cheese.
The worst line of dialogue topic doesnt seem to exist anymore.
Anyway, not the worst, but awkward nonetheless
(I really am a huge fan of Rodriguez but this line of dialogue just sounded…well, awkward)
Guard: The mariachi has escaped (or something to that effect)
Markez: You too will escape.
Then he shoots him… that part annoys me…
No need to seperate them as quite a few topics were discussed. Just stay on topic now please.
Every single line from the movie Torque. That was one of the worst piece of shit movies i have ever seen the only thing they succeded in it was the action packed chase scenes. But its just another shitty MTV film and my god it had the worse dialogue you could ever imagine in it its to the point that its so bad that you have to think that the writers wanted to make the script real cheesy.
Are you a Mexican or a Mexi can’t?

I thought that was a great line
me too. I also like the part where Sands buys gum from the kid on the bike and he tells him, “I never want to see you again.” the next time Sands meets the kid his eyes are removed.

Yeah a lot of people dick ride on those words. I don’t see what’s so special about them. There was all this hoopla when the film came out regarding that line, when I got around to watching it, i was like "What the fuck? How lame"
However, I wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s the worst line of dialogue, it’s just… overrated.
I’m gonna be all subversive here: “Any other time you’d be 100% right, but this time you’re 100% wrong” from Kill Bill. It wasn’t so egregious in Kill Bill, a film(s) rife with intentionally cheesy dialogue, but Uma overdelivered it there like it had all the weight of any other classic Tarantino line. And then when Grissom said it in Grave Danger, it was clear that QT was trying to force that line into iconic status when, really, honestly, there’s just nothing particularly special about it.
HAHAHAHAHA YOUR RIGHT it is lame. So is Mexicant. And I just felt like posting here so nobody repeated your quote right after as if they were being witty.
I hate the end of jay and silent bob where jay says “its Morris and the mf time” as if they are a great band and I give a shit. They suck!
I absolutely hate the dialogue regarding Beatrix being pregnant and her assassin reading the pregnancy test box in Kill Bill: Volume 2. I ALWAYS skip that part now, it makes me cringe, it’s so bad. The humour in that scene doesn’t work on me at all. I just laugh at it’s patheticness.
Beatrix: Just look at the strip. Please.
Karen Kim: Stay where you are and don’t move. I don’t know what this fuckin’ shit means.
Beatrix: The box with the directions - it’s right there.
Karen Kim: Easy to use. Remove the cap and urinate on the absorbent end.
Beatrix: Blue means pregnant.
Karen Kim: I’ll read it myself, thank you.
God damn

I’m not a fan of that scene either. And in Vol. 1 the first chapter when Beatrix meets Vernita Green is also a little bad, otherwise they rock.

and it’s scandalous that I complain about a badly deliverd line? fuck you, that scene rocks, it’s the best in the history of cinema

There’s a difference between somebody delivering a line “not as smoothly” as you would have liked and where a a whole scene of dialogue is cringe-worthy. Tarantino’s writing here isn’t very good and was pointless. The whole thing about her being pregnant when on for far too long.
Just because you lost that argument doesn’t mean you can come in here barking at me. So you don’t exagerate stuff? Best in the history of cinema? Laughable.
I lost that argument? hahahahaha, yeah great man uhuh
what’s the diffrence between a writers writing being below avarage and an actors delivery being below avarage? nothing
I was OFCOURSE exagerating and joking with the best in history of cinema, I thought that was obvious for most people …
yet I think it’s scandalous you post a tarantino-line in the “What Is The Worst Line Of Dialogue In A Film?”
