[vol 1 OST] General Kill Bill volume 1 soundtrack talk

I lost respect for axl when he didn’t show up for the infamous philly show. >:(

Kill Bill title song…

What about something by Stevie Nicks?

I don’t know if it’s already been told but, any info about when the Kill Bill OST gonna be released?

Ive noticed sometimes that movie soundtracks are out weeks before the actual movie comes out. In the USA anyway.

Maybe we’ll get lucky and the Kill Bill soundtrack will be out before the film too.

Imagine when all of us are cruising in our cars blasting the music from Kill Bill? Thats gonne be AWESOME!! Kill Bill Pimpin Baby!! 8)

I first bought the Res Dogs OST and I said to myself ‘‘Damn, that’s the best soundtrack I’ve ever listened!’’ Then I bought Pulp’s OST and said ‘‘Damn, that’s the best CD I’ve ever listened!’’ After listened to each one more than 237 times I bought Jackie’s soundtrack. In the first days I didn’t like it so much but after a week I changed my mind about the best OST and and best CD I’ve bought! And then it came Pulp’s Special Edition OST…You can imagine me 8) '‘Damn that’s…’'

Being a fan of his soundtracks made me apreciate even more his movies!

What I’m trying to say is… I’m dieing to get in my hands the new QT OST!! Equally as I’m anxious to see the movie! (If only that Metallica dork wasn’t in… how can you put next to Ennio the drummer of Metallica? We’ll see!)

Most of the times each movie’s OST comes out about 1 or 1 and a half month before the movie’s premiere! ( I hope for the V1’s premiere!)

september 23rd in stores.

wicked fucking shit dude!!!

Did some research on a couple of the songs listed there.

The two songs are from 70s films about revenge.

3. “The Grand Duel - (Parte Prima)” - Luis Bacalov

http://www.imdb.com/Title?0068657

… a spaghetti western starring Lee Van Cleef.

13. “The Flower of Carnage” - Meiko Kaji

Meiko Kaji is the star of “Lady Snowblood”

http://www.imdb.com/Title?0158714

… a Japanese female revenge film.

She sings “Lady Snowblood”'s title song “Shura no Hana”, translated here as “The Flower of Carnage”

More to come later…

-Jeff

4. “Twisted Nerve” - Bernard Herrmann

http://www.imdb.com/Title?0063729

Bernard Herrmann is a very famous film composer who did the the theme to “Twisted Nerve” and many other suspense thrillers, including “Psycho”.

“White Lightning” - The RZA/Charles Bernstein

White Lightning (1973) - IMDb

must be a RZA remix of Bernstein’s theme to “White Lightning”, a Burt Reynold’s good ol’ boy movie.

Looks OK by me!

Now when can we hear some tracks?

BTW, Luis Bacalov scored DJANGO
9. “Battle Without Honor or Humanity” - Tomoyasu Hotei
I’m not sure if the song is from one of Hotei’s albums or whatever, I don’t know his music, but Battles Without Honor and Humanity is a Kinji Fukasaku yakuza film. Haven’t seen it, but I’m dying to because I hear it’s great.

10. “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” - Santa Esmeralda
I’ve always loved this song since I first heard it in American Me. Just got done listening to this cover on KaZaA and it sounds pretty damn good!

This gonna be a helluva soundtrack!

I haven’t been keeping up with this thread, so don’t scream if you’ve seen it already.

Here’s a link to Maverick record’s Kill Bill page:

Ok, found some soundclips for a couple of those original tunes. Check em out.

Bang Bang

(Does this one sound familiar?)

Run Fay Run

(From the Blaxpo flick, TOUGH GUYS)

That Certain Female

Ironside (TV show theme)

Woo Hoo

Lonely Shepherd

Green Hornet

Bang Bang sure sounds like it might be a “a female-sung ballad of heartbreaking lament”.

where does Mugato have the tracklist from?

you can pre-order the CD here

FUCKIN BEAUTIFUL!!!

Nancy Sinatra is the “female singing a song of heartbreaking lament” 8) Finally! That shit was torturing me! Nancy Sinatra has a really great voice “these boots are made for walkin” is awesome stuff! She was also in The Wild Angels w/ Peter Fonda, that great Roger Corman biker film!

This whole soundtrack sounds like one of the dopest complilation of cult movie themes/tv themes and original scores I’ve ever seen.

QT is a fuckin pop culture/film genius. plain and simple.

now you can finally pre-order the soundtrack. it comes out September 23rd.
