The song when she is looking for the pussywagon is called Truck Turner by Isaac Hayes. I think it’s from an old movie. I can’t remember the second song, but I know it’s on the soundtrack.
[quote]OK… the revenge music where The Bride gets flashbacks of getting beat up is the “Ironside” theme, and yes, there is an excerpt of it on the soundtrack (track 16)
The instrumental piece of music that plays as The Bride is fighting O-Ren is called “Don’t let me be misunderstood” although it’s only on for for a minute or so and there are no lyrics, the proper song is on for 10 minutes + and there are lyrics to it on the CD.
I am looking to find the name of two songs from the movie. The first piece is when The Bride is looking for the pussy wagon. It’s kind of a 70’s jazz song with funkee guitars, as if it would had been in Jackie Brown. The song stops dead as The Bride opens the door to the truck. It is NOT the theme to Green-Hornet… that is when The Bride is flying into Tokyo.
The second song is when the bride is fighting the 88’s and she starts rolling around chopping off legs and feet. I really want that song.
Any help would be appreciated, cheers.

can you read? good. then move your eyes some 5 posts further up, you find the answer.
It’s really quite annoying. I can’t tell you how many times that question has been asked, with people convinced that it’s not on the soundtrack.

Does anyone know any of the 3 songs (besides Death Rides a Horse) played in the Kill Bill Bootleg Trailer (KB3) on the Soundtrack? (The bootleg trailer is the one that starts off in El Paso.)
I think i found it.
The song that plays during the “OUR FEATURE PRESENTATION” intro might by
Melvin Sparks - If you want my love
I am not a 100% sure on this yet, because I am still waiting till Soulseek lets me download that mp3 but when I’ve listened to it i can tell you.
According to an article I found, the tune used in Kill Bill is somewhat newer and repaired or something.
Melvin Sparks, “If You Want My Love (feat. Jimmy Scott)”: Here’s a good place to start – something I’ve just downloaded that I haven’t even listened to yet. This comes from one of those “Super Bad King Of 45 Archive Soul Crate Rare Funk Groove” compilations that I don’t know the name of. It’s a polished bit of old-style soul with a horn riff that sounds not unlike a cleaned-up and professional version of the “OUR FEATURE PRESENTATION” music from the opening of Kill Bill Vol. 1. Melvin doesn’t have much in his voice to distinguish himself from the dozens of other Rare Groove cats in my MP3 discography, and his lyrics don’t say much interesting (“if you want my love/gotta gimme some more” – thank you for outlining the concept of supply and demand, Sparky), but he doesn’t really sing that much here anyhow, so it’s not a huge factor. There’s a long instrumental breakdown with an almost-there guitar solo, the horns do their thing, it’s inoffensive and generic. Thing is, inoffensive and generic '60s/'70s R&B is better than inoffensive and generic examples of everything else.
well, it’s the same theme but it is NOT the song.
the “our feature presentation” clip is from a company called “Grindhouse Releasing” who co-released RTP movies with Rolling Thunder. They are specialiced on exploitation.
GRINDHOUSE Film Review: GRINDHOUSE - House of horrors
you can see the logo there, just not with the “our feature presentation” text and unfortunately without sound.
I’ve heard that this logo is still used in some theaters in the US
This might have been mentioned already, but I glanced at the number of pages that this topic has and decided that I’d still ask risking to hear a few “fuck yous” in response ;D
So, question is: anything known about Vol. 2 soundtrack?
P.S. I had such a hard time tracking down the soundtrack in the stores. Finally got it from Amazon (previously loading a few songs from kazaa) and have been listening to it daily since!

Nope. No details yet.
There’s a possibilty that “When will I see you again” by The Three Degrees might be included in the soundtrack since it’s mentioned in the script.
In case you’ve never heard that song before, it’s the type of song that Jackie Brown would love. 8)

Jet_Set, that’s an awesome list by half although I kind of figured it out. My playlist is exactly like that minus the elusive stuff that is still yet to be found like ‘Yagyu Conspiracy’ and the ‘Shaw Bros. Opening’ that Seb wants badly.
