The Simpsons Movie

since the film is opening soon, maybe it’s time for us to have our simpsons movie thread. i look forward to see it and i know where i’ll be the day it opens! 8)

yea im getting tickets to a screening of it hopefully a director or writer shows up.

where your avatar from? isn’t it in the twilight zone episode with William Shatner “nick of time” or whatever the fuck the title was??

I really really hope this turns out good, I will watch it, there’s no other way, so I don’t want to be disappointed. I’m a huge Simpsons fan, but I know how it can be rather mediocre at times.

the review that was post on aicn a couple of months ago said it was awesome… i feel secure, some of the latest episodes are fantastic, so in 15 years they never lost it…

If it turns out to be even half as good as the South Park movie, I’ll be more than happy.

They should have released this 10 years ago though.

The South Park movie fucking blew. And this coming from a fan of the series.

I think you’re in the minority there, my dear Buono. You’re not Canadian are you? That would explain a lot.

No, I’m not Canadian, my dear Scarface. The movie just didn’t do it for me for some reason.

yes thats the epsiode its one of the few episodes that where not written by serling.

I have no doubts about this movie. I’ve been watching The Simpsons ever since it first aired here. I have always loved it. I mean sure, the quality dipped a bit a few seasons ago, but it was still the funniest thing around. Also, it’s highly unfair if you start bitching about it, nothing can remain perfect forever. I’m glad to say the quality has picked up again.

I’m glad they have all their original writers back, the classic team. It’s sure not to disappoint. The reason they didn’t make it 10 years ago was because Matt Groening doesn’t like to rush things. If he was going to make a movie, everybody had to be 100% concentrated on getting the movie right. Now is the perfect time to bring it out. I’ve heard nothing but excellent reviews about it so far. Empire mag said that the stuff they saw was just as good as the TV series 5 years ago! Can’t wait, it’s going to own.

Anybody seen the latest trailer? It is fucking HILARIOUS!!

President Schwarzenegger: "I was elected to LEAD not to READ"

Homer: [after flicking through the Bible] "This book doesn’t have any answers"

Marge: How did the pig tracks get on the ceiling?

Homer: [moving the pig across the ceiling] Spider-pig, Spider-pig, does whatever a Spider-pig does… Look oooout, he is a Spider-piiig.

That last one has to be up there with one of the funniest Simpson moments.

That doesn’t sound too funny at all. Plus the bible joke’s been already used.

Anyway, they said the movie is nothing like the trailers, they’re just kidding around

i haven’t seen anything but i heard nothing but great things on the film, i’m sure it’ll be great…

The Spider-pig thing is hilarious. Also, when Ralph is singing the 20th Century Fox tune at the beginning, I laughed so hard.

The movie is nothing like the trailers? I’m not talking about the plot or the story, I was making references to all the jokes in the trailer. Why don’t you watch it and I dare you not to laugh. To be honest, I couldn’t give two shits what the story is, I don’t watch The Simpsons for the story. All I care about is the humour.

Haha, you always have to be Mr. Pessimist.

Bleach makes me depressed.

Seconded.

its a fuckin simpsons movie everyone has been waiting for it for so long now it has come and people are bashing how could you not like the simpsons.
