Say if theres 4 movies in one boxset I count it as 4 movies but I try not to buy boxset if i can help it.

Boxsets I count as one. Even though I own the Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection, it’s still only one…

i count boxsets for as many dvds that are inside.

What about television seasons?

i dont count them at all as a part of my dvd collection.

LoL - why not?

I count whatevers in the box as one. For example if it was Seinfeld seasons 1 and 2 i would count them as one cause they both come in the same box.

Of course not. Why do you own copied dvds?

Because they’re cheap/free.

Yeah they dont count

yea no way the only thing i have ever copied in my life was the twilight zone seasons because of how expensive they are.

I got the departed copied but i’ll probably buy it later on

I refuse to own any DVD that’s copied. The ONLY DVD I have that is copied is Tool’s Salival. I bought it incredibly cheap at a local record store(me: Pegasus Records). And besides: it’s out of print and very expensive!

I hardly ever buy any music cd’s/dvd’s but i believe i been to that record store once before.

I hate copied dvds with a passion, and I’m totally against people that support piracy (that includes 95% of my friends). Dvds are totally affordable nowadays, I don’t see any reason at all why you should settle for a copied dvd. Even though I stumbled upon a copy of Live Free Or Die Hard yesterday morning and I was totally tempted to check it out.

yes but what about bootlegs of films that are out of prints? When i count, i don’t count only my DVDs… i’m collecting videotapes and prints as well. when i do count, i count how many films do i have. if i have a box with 4 films, i count 4 because i don’t give a shit about owning a box, i give a shit about the films inside. What about for instance the spaghetti box set from blue underground? it counts as one but if i buy each dvds separately, i should count 4? however, last time i count i was at +2800 films, including DVDs, videotapes, films recorded on TV (wether on tapes of DVD-R) and film prints…
