I’ll keep my text shut and just present the trailer for now.
Trailer - The Obama Deception - A Film by Alex Jones - YouTube
Leave things like that to Michael Moore. He’s funnier and more accurate.
hahaha this is really funny, I think this is satirical. Is this from The Onion?

haha yeah and when he does it it doesn’t look as clumsy and fake as this
woups i didn’t see this thread and replied to this video in the Weinstein Co. thread… guess i’ll just post it again

Statements don’t get much truer than that right there.
Michael Moore is in the same league as Bill Maher, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. They’ve made careers out of distracting impressionable (typically young) Americans from looking into the real truth about what our Government is trying to pull over our eyes. Just because he’s expressing “free speech” doesn’t mean his words hold any semblance of validity or credible substance.
You want true “Americanism”? March 15th: Trailer - The Obama Deception - A Film by Alex Jones - YouTube
But this thread is about the Weinstiens so I’ll create a new one for this.

the video you posted uses a far worse tabloid imagery than any of michael moore’s film. if i am supposed to question michael moore’s films (and i know we should, he’s a money whore, but who in the entertainment businness isn’t?), why should i take that video as a serious statement about anything. this is supposed to be the inquestionable truth?? the form is ridiculous, the v.o. sounds like it was taken from the trailer of a direct to video action film with Wesley Snipes… a video like this one, using a menacing voice over saying “this is all true, you will see” is just not enough to convince me about anything. sorry.
and i don’t know who Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are. but i’ve just seen Bill Maher film about religion. sure, he shoots at easy target, the interviews are overly edited and basically he is just hammering his opinion, giving no chance to the people he talks to to give their point of view. and the ending where he just says “Give up religion if you don’t want us all to die” is ridiculous. but some of the things he shows are just funny: the islamic rapper and the janitor of a museum that is supposed to prove that god created earth and that darwin is wrong?? those morons could talk all day long without Bill Maher and without the editing process, i would still be laughing at them.
and what is supposed to happen on march 15th?
I think that’s the release date for the documentary.
woa this is quite an ambitious statement: “the day my film is released, the world will change”
Thought I’d post it here instead of starting a new topic:

:o
Michael Moore is only accurate because he doesn’t really say anything other than the Iraq War is bad and a mother who lost her son in the war is sad, or that Bush is an idiot. He tells you the obvious and safe things that even members of the mainstream media have already been saying.
Alex Jones goes in-depth and tells you things the mainstream media wants you to ignore. Like how the people that destroyed our economy are in the White House now and how Obama wants to make it mandatory that all Americans serve in the Armed Forces.
Alex Jones is a documentarian. Michael Moore just wants to be a celebrity.

Alex Jones is a fucking douchebag, that’s what he is.
The Alex Jones documentaries that I have seen consist of him telling you how it is and backing it up only with videotaped interviews of himself or similarly insubstantial “evidence”. He feels that if he yells charismatically at you for an hour and a half that you will eventually just believe everything he says. I require more proof.
BTW: Errol Morris kicks both their arses.

he’s some kind of Elmer Gantry, then eheheh
i’m in total agreement about Errol Morris
I guess it depends what you want in a documentary. If you want someone with an overblown budget exposing the obvious through an extended entertainment piece Michael Moore is your guy. If you want a pretty movie I guess Errol Morris is good. If you want documentary’s that are current, honest and actually and expository Alex Jones is one of the few out there.
Jason Bermas is pretty good too. I recommend his film “Loose Change” every time I hear about somebody who still believes 9/11 was orchestrated and carried out by a bunch of cave dwellers with box cutters. But like I said if you’re looking pretty big budget movies that don’t really say anything this probably isn’t your thing.
errol morris, doesn’t do “pretty movies”: fog of war is a guy is talking in front of a camera for 1hr40mins… and “thin blue line” was accurate enough to save a guy from death row…
I am really looking forward to this. And Dex is so right about Michael Moron. I think that guy has less of a clue of what’s really going on than most the people that watch his filth.

Isn’t Loose Change that documentary done by that kid in his bedroom?
I just like proof with my documentaries. Not pretty. Hell, I could make a documentary in my bedroom as convincing as those by Alex Jones. Jews did 9/11. As ridiculous as it sounds, never underestimate yelling coupled with images and music.
Angel, no offense mate, but I get the impression that you are deluding opposing facts, with what facts you’ve been allowed to know. I mean, you seem to think you know that what Alex Jones has to say is false. If you want to watch a documentary about what you “know”, then I guess you would like Moore.

i was wondering if it was this film or not… if it is, i’ve seen an itw with that guy: his main source is a radical right-wing newspaper he found on the net… that’s heavy.

yes but alex jones needs to brings facts and evidences to make his point. what we’ve seen of him is not very convincing… at all. proofs, facts, evidences are the main tools for that kind of journalism… not a scary voice over saying “be prepared, as i am going to tell the truth!”. you may not like michael moore, but at least his technique is to meet people, have them seat down, and let them talk (i have only seen bowling for columbine and Roger and I, so i can’t really say anything about Farenheit 9/11).

I don’t know where Jason Bermas made the film but he managed to come up with more hard evidence and scientific fact than the 9/11 Commission Report so that says something. If you can interview 9/11 first responders, first hand eye witnesses, and scientific experts from your bedroom I’d like to see it.
What do you consider proof? It’s easy to prove shit like torture is bad, war is bad, and all sorts of things that happened in the past were bad. Alex Jones talks about what’s happening now and what it’s gonna lead to. And he references documents that prove it. If you don’t care enough to actually listen and research the documents he references than you need to step aside and let the people who look beyond CNN and Fox News deal with shit. Stop spreading the Government’s agenda out of pure ignorance.
I’m gonna try and get back to the whole Obama is gonna ruin this country point. You can say whatever you want about Alex Jones’ presentation “skills” but how do you deny the FACT that Obama said we need a Nation Wide “Civilian Military”. He’s not just looking to impose a draft he’s trying to militarize any American citizen between the ages of 18 and 35.
How do you deny that he works for wall street? A lot of the same people that have meticulously destroyed our economy have been given jobs in the white house. His cabinet are the people who have gotten rich off of destroying our economy. Those who haven’t gotten white house jobs are still running our banks, and Obama’s trying to give them another bailout. $850 billion this time.
The treasury spokeswomen herself said “we just wanted to come up with a really big number.” Essentially saying “we just want to give the people who truly control this country a lot of money because they’ve kinda been fucking up lately”.
You say Alex Jones doesn’t back his shit up with facts, but maybe it’s just you who doesn’t care enough to look into the things he says. Debunk something current that he’s saying. Shit, it doesn’t even have to be current. He had people on his show two years ago that were predicting this economic crisis.
Angel. I know you’re not an American so somebody talking about our rights being stripped away and our way of life being perverted probly doesn’t mean much to you, so I don’t expect you to dig deeper than the surface.
Tonyanthony, I don’t know where you’re from but by your grammar and over all use of the language I assume you’re either not American, you’re a child, or you’ve got the brain of a child.
Regardless of where you’re from or what you’re mental capacity is the notion that what Alex Jones says isn’t true because you’re not willing to do the research is absolutely absurd.

I agree 100%. It’s ridiculous that there are so many people out there that refuse to learn certain things just because they disagree. Ostrich syndrome, huh? Bury their heads in the sand whenever their idea of the truth gets called into question.
