No, wait I listened and bought the Death Proof soundtrack before the film even came out. It’ll be alright.

You don’t spoil yourself, you still don’t know how it will be used in the movie and how it will fit the scenes, in fact the most important thing.

Get this, Bath Attack is from A Nightmare on Elm Street!! Only a movie geek like QT would put a slasher film cue into his WWII epic!
That’s awesome! One of my fav movies of all time. I remember in Kill Bill I could’ve sworn the music during the Bride training at Pai Mei’s was also a piece from Nightmare…it could have been seen same composer Charles Bernstein but I’m not sure.

Time to check some of these songs out.

Is there a special spot in IB where theres a music sting? Maybe its like The Vengeance Theme in Kill Bill. Dont tell me the details…just yes or no is fine.

Actually, are you sure about that ? Because the press kit says it’s from the movie “L’Emprise” (“The Entity” : The Entity (1982) - IMDb )

Just wonderin’…

Hey you must be right. Weird that both films have the same composer and a bath attack cue! :o

Ive never seen The Entity, so I dont know what the Bath Attack cue in that film sounds like.

why does it say “Eastern Condors” in the tracklist, and then “Rabbia e tarantella” by Ennio Morricone?

The only Eastern Condors I know is a super-awesome Sammo Hung HK men-on-a-mission flick, and as far as I know italian master composer Ennio Morricone never did any music for that.

Good question K. I thought the same thing. Dont get why it says Eastern Condors. I know EC was one of the main inspirations for QT to write Basterds. He said it when he screened EC at his film fest in Austin.

Just had a quick listen to most of those songs, they’re gonna be great. And this may sound weird, and my not being here for a while has something to do with it, but those songs confirmed to me that this is gonna be 100% Tarantino. I duno, the trailer and clips, haven’t quite made me realise, but this has. Thanks for compiling the list Jungle Juju.
yeah this is awesome. i love the few tunes i’ve listened to. i agree that the trailer and clips are nothing like the final product in the sense of tarantino-ness.

man i’m so excited now

It’s propbably a translation error.

OR…the Eastern Condors theme is also in the movie and somehow the french folks made a mistake transcribing into onto the info sheet.

Here’s hoping that the Delta Force theme also slipped through the cracks!

QT continues to amaze me with his song/music choices.

I’m surprised nobody else has mentioned “Green Leaves of Summer” yet. Well, at least to me, it’s extremely identifiable because I’m such a HUGE Alamo nut. It’ll be such a surreal experience to hear this track appear in a Tarantino film.

Slaughter-I can’t get any of those Deezer tracks to play, but does this version open with an organ or a guitar? The album track that I’ve got opens with the organ, but in the movie, it starts with a heavy, monotone guitar lick. I hope this is the version that appears on both the soundtrack and on the movie.

Pete-Yes, indeed, there’s a “Bath Attack” scene in The Entity. In fact, the horror-theme music in that movie is reminiscent of Neu’s “Super 16”, but at a higher speed.

And I damn near wet myself when I saw the words, " L’incontro’ and “Morricone” together because I thought it was the Encounter theme from Master and Margaret (A piece of music that I long posted here when envisioning Shosana’s theme) Looks like it’s something else though. No complaints. 8)

LB: Really exciting choices as usual. Lots of great Spaghetti Western music in there. Gotta check out The Entity soon. Ive never listened to the theme of Slaughter before strangely. I played it today and of course its an awesome track. Perfect music for Basterds style havoc. Devil’s Angels score! classic biker film with John Cassavetes! 8)

Im gonna watch Eastern Condors tonite and see what the score is like again. Havent seen it in a long time.

I was blastin’ some Bowie a few days ago. Cat people is an awesome song. Great choice.

;D

Yeah, and just a few days ago, I was about to add this track to my upcoming blaxploitation montage at The Deuce. Go figure. :-</E>

And how about QT using that Algiers track? It’s appeared in a docudrama (The original source) and (As you’ve pointed out at the Deuce) a kung fu film, and now a Tarantino war film!

QT talks about his film Glorious Bastards a lonnnng time ago:

“EASTERN CONDORS. This film is one of the top 5 Hong Kong films ever made in my opinion. Essentially it is Sammo Hung’s DIRTY DOZEN, but he’s breaking all the rules we learned through all those 60’s Guys on A Mission movies. This film was my chief impetus… is that a word… well it’s a word that sounds a lot like that word, but my chief inspiration for wanting to make a GUYS ON A MISSION WAR MOVIE, the film I’ll do after KILL BILL.” - QT

any new info for IB makes me even more anxious to see it…good lord this movie is going to be great

I think this Eastern Condors thing is an error. Between it is a track called “Rabbia e Tarantella” by Morricone for a Mastrioni film called Allonsanfan. I’m sure that’s what we’ll hear.

“Un Amico” is a french song from Revolver (A Polizi!)

“The Verdict”-It’s possible that this is from Sacco & Vanzetti (I’ve always wanted to see this movie!)

I’ve read elsewhere that “The Surrender ( La resa )” is from Solima’s Big Gundown. Awesome news if it’s true. I’ve always felt Big Gundown music would’ve been great for Kill Bill, but better late than never to have it appear in an eventual Tarantino flick.

And how cool is it to have compositions from both Morricone and Giorgio Moroder for a Tarantino film!
