The Grindhouse Soundtrack

any info On the PT CD ???

man lime wire sure is a piece of motherfuckin crap, after excessively searching for all those tracks, cause man quentins music for his films is always stand-out awesome, i only found me 3 lousy tracks.

can’t wait until i get my hands on the cd. the only cds i buy these days are QT soundtrack cds.

If anyone out there finds the rare tracks on MP3 let us know!! Thanks!

I’m going to wait and see what all these songs are about when I get the album.

Heres a link to the tracks Ive found so far:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/pce7vb

googled the press release:

<LINK_TEXT text=ā€œhttp://www.marketwire.com/mw/release_ht … _id=220240ā€>http://www.marketwire.com/mw/release_html_b1?release_id=220240</LINK_TEXT>

If history is a guide then the first track on the album will be played with the main titles and we know how defining those title songs are in Tarantino movies.

I want to hear it but I don’t. Thankfully, it’s hard to find. Yes, I’ve tried.

A lot of people have probably heard this one before. Not this version but the original version, sung in French.

ā€˜jeepster’ by t-rex is a GREAT track. pure 70’s British glam rock at it’s best. They were HUGE in the UK and Ireland back then.

^I can picture Jungle Julia head-banging to it’s opening ;D

Love QT’s choice of music! The addition of T-Rex gets me all giddy. Stumbled across this on a google search where you can ā€œsampleā€ Jeepster.

chick habit is playing on my Grindhouse_fans myspace page

damn my computer just froze 4 times…

can somebody check pete’s files and see if they can find the rest, maybe on emusic.com or something (soulseek if you need to, not that I endorse that)…

I love it so far… QT is the soundtrack-fuckin-master

- April March - Chick Habit

First I thought ā€˜what the fuck’, but if you got the time, after the third round or so, it’s getting better and crazier.

  • Coasters - Down in Mexico

    Immediately a classic.

  • Davee Dee & Co. - Hold Tight

Cool STAND BY ME style. Love it.

  • Joe Tex - The Love You Save

In the veins of Al Green. Brilliant.

  • Ennio Morricone - Paranoia Prima

Definitely the sound of Stuntman Mike observing the girls. Got also a little bit vibe from the SLAUGHTER HOTEL soundtrack. Very simple. Nothing like his spaghetti surfing craze.

  • Pacific Gas & Electric - Staggolee

Don’t get it really till now. Need the scene.

  • Smith - Baby It’s You

Ok, this is a really cool cover of the Sheirelles original. Some kind of similar like the locomotion cover Tarantino wanted to use in RESERVOIR DOGS.

  • T-Rex - Jeepster

Love T-Rex. This glamrock song sounds nice.

  • Willy DeVille - It’s So Easy

I think it’s the CRUISING scene where Al Pacino is dancing in this leather bar.

And yesterday I saw once again BLOW OUT and checked the soundtrack. The Sally and Jack theme is probably the one you can here quite often, sometimes piano sometimes other instruments. It’s this really sweet melody, which tells about the growing love between Travolta and Nancy Allen. Pino Donaggio is an underrated soundtrack maestro who started with DON’T LOOK NOW and became De Palma’s favorite componist in almost every important 80s movie like CARRIE, HOME MOVIES, DRESSED TO KILL and BODY DOUBLE. He’s also responsible for the BEYOND EVIL soundtrack, a Tarantino fave of the QT festival circuit.

These 4 tracks are unfindable:

The Last Race - Jack Nitzsche

Good Love, Bad Love - Eddie Floyd

Sally and Jack (From the Motion Picture Blow Out) - Pino Donaggio

Riot In Thunder Alley - Eddie Beram

:-</E>

Maybe QT ripped it from an old forgotten LP

Would be pretty boring to download all these Tracks from the web, wouldn’t it

All the classic songs are definitely from his vintage vinyl collection. QT doesnt do CDs.

Hold Tight, Jeepster and Staggolee are my current favorites. Ive been listening to them over and over. So fn cool.

I wish I could find the other songs!

WFMU: Nickel And Dime Radio with $mall ¢hange: Playlist from April 20, 2003
