I trust a real source better though:
Longman dictionary:
Sarcastic: speaking or writing which tries to hurt someones feelings, esp. by expressions which mean the opposite of what felt.
Ironic: of a strange and often bitterly funny quality which shows things are not as they seem or were meant to be.
If he meant it sarcastic, he meant it: surely Smith SHOULD be on the list, you cocksuckers.
If he meant it ironically: its: I make a remark about Kevin Smith, acting like he should be on the list, but who surely isnt supposed to be on the list.
Its a subtle difference…anywho, Scar is right
Haha, free English lessons. I fucking love this forum.
Hahaha! I hope you meant that ironic

I told they were basically the same:
Ironic: dry; humorously sarcastic or mocking; “dry humor”; "an ironic remark often conveys an intended meaning obliquely
Sarcastic: sneering, jesting, or mocking a person, a situation or thing. It is often used in a humorous manner and sometimes expressed through particular vocal intonations. Sarcasm is often expressed in ironical statements.

Yup, they’re both basically the same. But SARCASTIC is the more appropriate word to use in the sentence! not ironic!
If he meant it sarcastic, he meant it: surely Smith SHOULD be on the list
Seth, that is dead wrong. That would be if he meant if LITERALLY.
If he meant it ironically: its: I make a remark about Kevin Smith, acting like he should be on the list, but who surely isnt supposed to be on the list
THAT is Sarcasm! Youre confusing sarcasm with irony because they come hand in hand.
in summary…
I hope ThaDuke is being ironic.
Of course, He would be my favorite on the worst directors list
Everbody Vote now! du du du du du!
My vote was going to be for either Scorsese or Hitchcock but I went with Scorsese cuz I thought a lot of other people were voting for Hitch. I couldn’t have been more wrong, 0 for the Master of Suspense, kind of suprised about that one.

I’m going to say Quentin Tarantino followed by Howard Hawkes.
I think that Harold Ramis at least deserves the chance to be voted for.
Here’s my top 5:
Leone
Kitano
Hitchcock
Kurosawa (Akira)
Kurosawa (Kiyoshi)
Over the past few months, I’ve became a big fan of Jarmusch and Clark as well.

Yes. I fucking love that movie. Been my favorite since I rented it last January. Great soundtrack too.
Check out Bully.
Bully’s a good flick, but I didn’t like how Clark tried to make it “his” movie rather than just staying true to the book as possible. Still a nice film even if it was a bit dissapointing like I said.
Guillermo Del Toro is brilliant, certainly is one of the best director’s of our generation. Watch Pan’s Labyrinth, watch it now I says! You’ll cry your eyes out. :’(
