Last night, I laid down in the bedroom and started watching this movie again. My 5-year-old daughter came in during the first part of the second half. She laid there with me and watched the last hour plus of the movie with me. Then she rolled over and said, “Mommy, I didn’t get to see the beginning.”
I have it on VHS, so it’s on two tapes. I rewound the tape, and put the first tape back in. She outlasted me. She watched the entire first half, (I fell asleep) and put the second tape back in. I woke up at the part where all three of them are in the cemetery, and I asked her if she’d been watching this all night. She said, “Yeah… This is a great movie.”
OMG! Bless her. It seriously brought a tear to my eye in my half-asleep state.
She makes me sooo proud sometimes.
We’re going to bed now, and we’re going to watch Hang’em High.
That’s so sweet, Geoi! When I read that it reminded me of when the bride is watching shogun assassin with her daughter!

Thanks. I would be lying if I said I didn’t find Beatrix and BB watching that tape together the most touching part of KB.
BTW, she didn’t like Hang’em High nearly as much as she likes TGTBATU. Which is strange to me, because when I was little I liked Hang’em High the most out of ANY Clint Eastwood movie.
I love my kid so much though. What a brilliant young mind she has.
Your kid is fucking awesome. You too Geoi
