They plan to this as a trilogy. Apparently, Christian Bale who plays John Connor has a very small role in this film but will have a bigger part in the 2nd of the trilogy.
"The lead character is the yet-to-be-cast Marcus, a Riddick-like figure who was “put out of commission” before T3’s holocaust and awakens in about 2015 to discover a radiation-ravaged, machine-ridden world. There he meets Connor and learns about his attempts to build a utopian human society as well as running the human resistance.
There’s also a female pilot called Blair, holding the ladies’ end up, and a cameo from Reese alongside John Connor, and a whole heap of action. More essentially, there’s a whole heap of big machine vs. human action."
I don’t know about this. I loved the first 2 as many of us did. I hold the second one very close to my heart, always offering a sense of nostalgia everytime I watch it. But IMO, a Terminator film without James Cameron ain’t no Terminator film at all. The 3rd one proved it (even though Arnie was the best thing about it).
McG’s an arrogant jerk, and I hate to help his box office sales by even one, but I will watch this, just like I do with any sequel to awesome 80’s movies. Cos it’s my money, and I can. Grrrr. I dislike McG immensely.

Christian Bale is a fucking asshole. No wonder he was perfect for Patrick Bateman.

No man, he was totally justified. I completely understand. He’s a very intense actor and as I’ve heard, it was an important scene that the dp interupted. And when it comes to acting, there’s a lot of waiting around, so when he finally get’s to start working he gets disturbed, I’d be pissed myself.
