edited version is the only one they got at the video store. fuck that, i want 2 see that version before i buy the uncut one for $25
ok…but the uncut is way better. I’m telling you. It’s well worth the wait.
The only thing I really hated about Ichi was that I hated the character Ichi. He just pissed me off with his incessant crying and his somewhat pussy attitude. He just ticked me off at the end when he wouldn’t stop. Kakihara makes up for Ichi’s crybaby bullshit though.
Can someone say a couple of very gore scenes? So I can read it and say to myself its too gory or its perfect. Please?
Telling you some of the gore scenes is basically ruining the whole movie, so no go watch it yourself man.

Speaking of the movie, which I just saw, what was the ending about?
Well the ending does leave alot to think about but here is a theory of what I think happens:
HEAVY SPOILER
Ichi had just killed his brother and then Ichi breaks down crying, so the guys son (Who just watched his father die at his feet) is kicking shit outta him for what he did, Kakihara, on the other hand wants to fight, so to draw attention to himself he places those needles in his ears thus distorting his senses and he imagines that Ichi decapitates the kid and then he (Kakihara on some kinda peverted rush) kills himself. You notice that Kakihara didn’t have the slice in his forehead when Jiji finds him lying there at the bottom of the building, so that means Ichi killing the kid was just his imagination playing with him. Jiji sees that Ichi can no longer be tamed like he was so, he hangs himself. Now I have no idea why we see Kakihara in that cold-looking room with all those chains. But for one at the end where you see Ichi and those kids, his brothers son is that kid Ichi turns around and walks away when they are looking at Jijis dead body.

How does the whole brainwashing thing work? Several people by the end were brainwashed.
I actually have NO idea about that. The only thing I can probably relate the brainwashing stuff to is a Clockwork Orange. But this film is actually different.
But Alien Sun’s character was brainwashed, and the brainwashing scenes are remarkably similar in the way they were shot to the scene in which Kakihara is “killed” by Ichi. I wonder how far Jiji’s brainwashing of people went…
As far as Ichi goes…he annoyed me. But I didn’t mind him, because Kakihara made up in spades with his evil coolness.

You know what… I’ve never thought how Jiji brainwashed Kakihara like that, I knew Alien was brainwashed however. Man that movie is a thinker. Jijis brainwashing went pretty far from what we saw Ichi do. I think Jiji brainwashed Kakihara early in the film when they first met. But only Kakihara could maintain what Jiji was actually doing to him! Because why else would Jiji be so seriously shocked when he found Kakihara dead?
