Sukeban Deka

nice (video) but can’t compete with the infinite cuteness of Ã¥?‹æƒ…~上カルビ~ (Yuujou ~ Jou Karubi ~) (song)

To make sure we all go bankrupt Toei will release Shoujo Commando Izumi (少女コマンドーIZUMI) (1987) later this month. The three disc release will include all 15 episodes

Street price is set to 15 000 yen

I smell Schoolgirls with Bazookas, which is a good thing, and I also don’t smell any subs, which is a major disappointment. So it seems I’m not gonna end up bankrupt after all.

Would’ve loved to have to, though. :’(

I just changed my mind. I’d probably end up buying this anyway.

I mean, come on . . . Schoolgirls . . . Bazookas . . . hrrrr . . .

In case someone is interested (I very much doubt so, but I don’t care :-* ), here’s a “Sukeban Deka”-Musicvideo I made:

  • Sukeban Deka vs. AKB48

And next week I’m gonna watch Kenta Fukasaku’s “Yo-Yo Girl Cop” on a movie-festival.

    Big screen, yeah.

Almost through with the “Sukeban Deka”-Series Season Two. 66 episodes without subtitles. Phew!

Especially in the last 10 episodes the plot and action-scenes came up with some of the most weird and WTF-moments I ever came to witness on film. But in a good way. Talk about schoolgirl-vampires making cat-noises while attacking; deadly pegtops in a “Yojimbo”-Tribute; defusing a bomb with a Yo-Yo; “Casablanca”-storyline rip-off; girls cosplaying in an all-boy school; Ninja-action with marbles. Or geisha-villains, equipped with dart-spitting umbrellas. And now every once in a while Yoko Minamino takes two Yo-Yos into battles, instead of just one. One episode even featured a gang of twelve-year old “Sukeban”-girls, greeting each other Yakuza-Style. I dare you to find anything cooler than this.

Watched Kentas “Yo-Yo Girl Cop” and enjoyed it (others probably won’t, though). Seeing it on a big screen with the audience cheering like mad, when Rika Ishikawa and Aya Matsuura had their final standoff, all dressed in black fetish leather-suits, sure helped. Otherwise it’s pure camp (including some way soapy drama-aspects), with not so much action as anyone might expect, but if you’ve got a thing for japanese schoolgirl-wardrobe you won’t feel bored. Direction is ADHD-induced MTV-stuff with lots of pointless speed-ups and cheesy slo-mos, while the rest is all insolent “Hello Project” and “Apple” product-placement.

Loved it.
