I got sick recently which gave me the chanche to stay at home and inform the internet community of one of the greatest gems of american movie making, still overlooked somehow by the AFI.
I hope you enjoy my new video
[REVIEW] SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT - The most awesome movies ever: part 5 - YouTube
Ohh! YES! I’m going to love this! I have to save it until I get home from work though, so I can really enjoy it. I’m late right now.
Smokey And The Bandits is one of the great movies that no matter how many times I watch it(which is alot!)I never get tired of it. Whats crazy is the movie is PG and I think its pretty wild for a PG flick.
Yup, they had no PG-13 back then…so everything was either PG or R, if I’m correct.
So Geoi, home from work yet?
Sorry dude, I had to spend like an hour removing a shitload of programmes from my computer because it’s been running too slowly… especially videos. Then I got fed-up with it and watched series 1, 2, and half of 3 of Black Books. That show is like Pez, you can’t have just one.
I promise I’ll watch it when I get home today! I REALLY look forward to it! I’m late again. >:(
Awww, Kenneth!!! ROFL! That shit was hella tits! LOL! I swear dude, you should do this for a living… ;D ;D ;D Thank you for taking the time to do another one of these. They’re sooo fucking cool!
I used to listen to “East Bound and Down” over and over too! But only when the mother was not home.
(One problem though… In terms of sheer legendary movie awesomeness, Star Wars is > or = to Smokey and the Bandit… Just to set the record straight )
Thank CK for doing another one.
this one was great! hurry up and make a new one asap 8)
oscar for best moustache. clearly. hella tits.
very nice and entertaining review about a film I had never heard about, but definitely want to check out now.
Got I should start watching movies instead of putting them on a “to watch” list…
I don’t know why but in France we have to translate the titles of those kind of films and put the word sherif in it. This one was translated “run after me, sherif”. And I just looked up Dukes of hazard, it’s “Sherif, Scare me”, the sequels of Smokey and the Bandit also have the word Sherif in the french title…that’s kinda weird and reductive for americans I think xD

You could order them off amazon.com SO cheap. Then if you have a dvd player in your computer, just set the region code to region 1, and you can watch them! I have to do that for all my region 2 DVDs since my all-region DVD player broke. >:(
Yeah but I think I NEED at least english subtitles, better if there are french subtitles. Because Kenneth makes a comment about some english expressions I don’t think I’ll get ^^

Nah. I believe there are several sets of subtitles. At least english and spanish. And the movie is pretty visual. You can pick up words you don’t understand through mere context. That’s what I did when I was a kid. I didn’t know what half the shit meant then anyway. Now I do, cos I’m a redneck chick.
Besides, the mere fact your money DOMINATES our money would make all these DVDs SO fucking cheap for you.
Hehe yeah, I’m probably gonna go for Amazon, I usually do that to buy CDs I can’t find in stores here. Probably gonna wait till I need to by other stuff though, don’t wanna end up paying those expensive shipping costs for one DVD…unless episodes 2 and 3 of the movies are good too?

They are shite. Don’t buy them. Order Smokey and the Bandit, along with Cannonball Run. And if you’re finding them really cheap, order Any Which Way but Loose, and Any Which Way You Can. Gotta have some Eastwood to balance out that Reynolds.
Thanks for the advice, it’s a shame that I never heard of those Clint Eastwood films, checking them out can’t do harm
