The Color of Money

Taxi Driver -

Taxi Driver

Goodfellas

Am I the only guy who really likes The Color of Money? I mean, come on…that is a masterpiece. It has a great story, great actors, great photography, and a great soundtrack.

I love TCOM. An incredible sequel to The Hustler. I just personally think Taxi Driver is more of a pure Scorsese/cinema masterpiece. I also like it more across the board.

Hey, where the hell is Mean Streets, King of Comedy and Casino on this list? Those should be included for sure. Ã?

There are too many of his films to be on the list - and they are all great, so I just picked a few. There are certainly a ton better than the Aviator, that’s for sure. It’s just a list.

Taxi Driver ;D

Raging Bull, damn I love that film. Once the new year starts I’m gonna watch some almost top-ten films again and make a new top-ten.

Where’s Michael Jackson’s Bad video? that should be on the top of the list Hahahaha!

I wish he would have directed the Pepsi commercial where his head got fried by the pyrotechnics.

Raging Bull his most accomplished.

The Color of Money

Eddie Felson: You’re some piece of work… You’re also a natural character.

Vincent Lauria: [to Carmen] You see? I been tellin’ her that. I got natural character.

Eddie Felson: That’s not what I said, kid. I said you are a natural character; you’re an incredible flake.

[Vincent’s smile fades; Eddie continues]

Eddie Felson: But that’s a gift. Some guys spend half their lives trying to invent something like that. You walk into a pool room with that go-go-go, the guys’ll be killing each other, trying to get to you. You got that… But I’ll tell you something, kiddo. You couldn’t find Big Time if you had a road map.

The Bad video: I remember watching that on TV back in 1987 when it premiered in its entirety. It was actually one of those concept videos like Thriller with a backstory before the big dance sequence. I still lmao when Jacko is confronted by Wesley Snipes in the subway and he’s trying to be all tough. It was spoofed brilliantly by Weird Al for his “Fat” video.

GOODFELLAS

The One I Really Didn’t Like Is The Aviator.

Scorsese is a master at making films. Even Though Taxi Driver is in my top ten, it’s fucking hard for me to say what’s his best film.

1. Taxi Driver

2. Goodfellas

3. Raging Bull

4. Casino

5. The Departed

6. Mean Streets

7. The Aviator

8. King of Comedy

9. The Color of Money

10. Bringing the Dead/Gangs of New York

Gangs of New York is a fucking joke

Mouahaha. Well, could have been cool to see Gangs staring De Niro and Joe Strummer. I would have been super excited to see Marty working with Strummer.

I actually have grown to like GONY more after rewatching it over the past few years. I hated it when i first saw it but now I dont think its that bad. I dont like BOTD or Kundun too much. Those are my least fave Marty films.
