It’s not that bad indeed. Only stuff could have been better in the hand of Marty. But I guess after 20 years on the movie, it’s kinda weird to direct a movie you’ve been used to think with other actors, another story and all… Marty spent too much time on it, thought so long it was the movie of his life, it’s kinda natural it didn’t become what he has in his mind.

I love Cape Fear!! Awesome remake! Thats one of my top 10 faves from Marty actually.
BOTD is a film where I didnt like the story or the characters. I just didnt connect with it at all.
