[news] Grind House buzzer

I don’t know where it’s supposed to be posted, but here is an hilarous news. Death Proof has been translated in French into… Boulevard de la mort - Un film Grindhouse. Ahaha Ridiculous, it means literaly : Death Boulevard, a Grindhouse Movie. Why Death Boulevard ?? :stuck_out_tongue:

Planet Terror hasn’t been translated yet, let’s see what other stupid title they’ll chose.

Pete, do some posters with that title! :stuck_out_tongue:

Boulevard De La Mort!! lol!

Theyll probably translate Planet Terror into: Le Frightening Garden, haha!
I don’t know what went wrong. I had a great time. was it too specialized?? not made for the masses? I don’t know. I can’t see anyone NOT enjoying this film. is there such a thing as BAD advertising???
I really think when they opened it (Easter weekend) and the running time was what killed it. If they had released the films separately a week later, they both wouldve done much better. Im glad I got to see it as a double feature but I dont believe most people want to sit in the theater that long unless its a popular film series they know about already like LOTR or Star Wars.

Asking people to sit through 3 hours of films they have no idea about is asking alot these days.

just found this cant get it to work on my computer but someone else may its a making of grindhouse go to the bottom of the page. http://www.savini.com/update1.htm

That’s kinda for the French boxoffice, of course other movies did better scores but DP has been pretty much on a good wave here and still on screen in a lot of theaters.

I think the biggest test for Death Proof will be end of next week when it competes with the simpsons here in Germany. we’ll see how it does

Can u believe that in South America this film wasn´t in the movie theatres !That really pisses me off, here to watch it we got to download it No Tarantino culture in this latitude :frowning:

Keep the good work people

Tarantino roxs!

btw Death Proof made about 1 million dollars during the three opening days in Germany, but only a little under 400 theaters. I am sure it’ll pick up a little more…

It really does. It that would have played it the U.S. that way it would have been money.
