I for one would love to see Tarantino re-make Beyond the Valley of the Dolls. Originally written and directed by Russ Meyer with Roger Ebert (yes the movie review guy) also getting a writers credit, reference below link:
Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970) - IMDb
As a remake, this film has all of the right elements for a Tarantino flick. The movie itself would be a reference to classic pop culture. The story line has tons of opportunities to weave good music/artists into the plot, surrealistic plot lines, super star ensemble cast. Frankly this was a grind house film when it was made, it’s perfect. Of course it would have to be a high glossed eye candy film that’s packed with the opulence that you find in LA these days (I always liked his films that vaguely took place in LA anyway). Just think of how much fun you could have casting this film. Am I off on the potential here? Better get to it quick while Roger is still around to give it his blessing.
I love the idea but one problem: Quentin hates using Nudity in movies, so this remake would be hard without some.
My casting for the girls would have to be:
Jessica Alba, Mary E. Winstead, Kate Beckinsale, and someone to be the drummer. can’t think of another personal fav. lol.

What was his reason?
I would like to see him do a hixploitation in the future.
Inglorious Bastards
I thought someone said the “nudity” issue in movies with Quentin a while ago on here, that is where I took that from.

I think he said in an interview once that he likes nudity in other people’s movies but it’d be too distracting in his own movies. Something like that.
He’s just too shy to tell his actors to take their clothes off, that’s the truth ;D The only tits you ever see in a QT related movie are Patricia Arquette’s in True Romance and the strippers from Dusk, both not directed by QT. Coincidence? I think not.
Well, Bruce Willis was completely naked in Pulp Fiction. Am I the only one to remember that scene in the bathroom?
^I try not to remember. ;D
But heck why not have girls naked, he has already did something worse with the pawn shop thing. ;D
A Bank robbery movie kind of like Dog Day Afternoon meets Point Break.
^ That is an awesome idea. really, it is. Quentin’s character making along the lines of a character development like a Dog Day Afternoon (just not gay guys) would be an awesome movie. It would be like a Reservoir Dogs, but in the bank and not just a warehouse. Awesome.
But thinking about it, it would be too similar to Reservoir Dogs, with the heist subject and all.
i agree, that would be cool, but def. too much like reservoir dogs. I want QT to do a cop movie, like the old italian polizia films, which we all know he loves. That would be bad ass. However, i just want him to focus on IB right now and make it as good as it can be. I really hope its his masterpiece.
^ Yes, IB first, then some “good ol’ boy” exploitation film would be fun.

CSI: Grave Danger?
What’s a “good ol’ boy” film? movie about and old fella who can’t walk to the toilet by himself?
A good ol’ boy movie is a hixploitation film wherein a good ol’boy, the hick hero, is doing good deeds protecting himself and his friends with good deeds. If it’s a hixploitation movie wherein city folk are vacationing and/or lost in hick country and are brutalized by the hick population… that’s NOT a good ol’ boy movie. Cuz in that case, there aren’t any good ol’boys in the town.

Movies like White Lightning and Walking Tall are called good ol’ boys films or hixploitation.
^ Thank you. I was about to say something about it doesn’t have to be a “nice boy” type movie.

Thats what I want too! I dont care at all about IB. ((((sigh))) sucks for me. I hate not being able to look forward to QTs next flick.
A true western movie would be awesome too. Perhaps a Dark Comedy. Anything but a war movie, thats just not my thing. There are very few that I can sit through.
