despite the fact that the japanese trailer was pretty weak, as always… i still think that inside the next 1-3 weeks we’ll be hit with the BIG ONE
At this point in time (with the release date being April 16th), I’m starting to feel that we won’t get a trailer at all. Maybe the way QT sees it, the Kill Bill Volume 1 trailers already showed bits of Volume II, so QT is just focusing on finishing touches rather than a trailer. It’s mighty rare to see a trailer released just three weeks before a movie’s release. It has happened, no doubt, but it’s rare.
If there is no Volume II trailer, I will admit to being a little disappointed, but I won’t love the movie any less of course.

nice thought but. when was the last time a major movie studio released a movie without a real trailer? forget it.
we'll get one big theatrical trailer inside the next few weeks. i bet my ass. and it will kick ass. maybe there will even be some additional bootleg trailers ;-)

I do remember posting on this very board that Miramax would not promote Kill bill 2 if the first part performed poorly and most people on this board decided to blast me thinking that i was speaking trash instead of facts.
Well perharps now you have come to the realization that the Weinsteins washed their hands of kill bill a long time ago and they WILL NOT SPEND another 25 million promoting it because
the first part did not perform any where near what it was supposed to do.
Dont turn this into some argument just deal with the facts or pick up an actors inside hollywood magazine (not that gay gossip shit about J’los wedding type magazine)

your definition of ‘performed poorly’ needs some work. Just because Kill Bill didn’t make 150 million doesn’t mean it performed poorly. Kill Bill was made for a target audience. This audience is not the 14 - 18 year target group that movies like ‘Pirates of the Carribbian’ and ‘Bad Boys’ is aimed at.
Also, let’s not forget that Vol. 1 didn’t get promoted much prior to its release, either. In fact, I saw far more previews for it AFTER it was released than before.
I wouldn’t be surprised if next week we get a good trailer for Vol. 2 and then we start seeing TV advertisements after the 10th.
Also, I predicted that Kill Bill Vol. 1 would open at around 25 Million, but that it would get great reviews. Both these were true.
I now make two more predictions.
Actually… they’re the same. Vol. 2 will open for no more than 30 mil, and will get reviews that are just as positive.

www.killbill.jp - they have it as .mov (i.e. quicktime)

Laff. If you don’t like mov format, then downlod it and convert it using Quicktime. Divx, Xvid, OGM, vob, mp3, mkv, etc… youre quite free to convert to any of those formats. My personal favorite is OGM which is a combo of xvid and ogg 
The only downside is that it doesn’t stream like mov or asf or rm files

Yea, your right. Even if its on yours though, my cheap Canadian theatre prolly wont show it. I heard bad things about Jersey Girl though, but I like Smith so it may be tolerable.
yeah i’ve read lots of bad reviews… eh oh well. i love smith and his wrting style so im sure i’ll enjoy it. i look forward to a trailer though… hopefully…

Those are the ones I keep seeing and they are unbearable. Meangirls was probably produced by a child porn ring.
I really don’t think we’ll get any trailer and to tell you the truth, I don’t want one. I found the teaser trailer superb. It just creates a strong desire to see the movie rigth now without spoiling anyhting in the movie!
And why do we really want a trailer? A lot of us know what’s coming in the second volume and seeing NOW some scenes, would lose the feeling of surprise while watching the movie. I think the trailer you desire will probably be a feature in the vol.2 DVD.
