Also: Last night at my kung fu school, I spied a copy of Inside Kung Fu Magazine. David Carradine has joined the staff. He will be producing monthly articles. This was in the January Issue. I wanted to buy a copy, but didn’t get a chance. Might ask my Sifu if I can borrow the magazine to read the article. I may even subscribe just to read his articles.

Yo the baddest part of that trailer, without question, is the last shot when the bride is running up the staircase banister and soes that flying swipe with the sword… People though i was fucking crazy b/c I was laughing like a little girl when the teaser ended. they already thought my ass was crazy when i started clapping the second i saw “miramax” on the screen… ;D

With David Carradine’s own words from the February Issue of Inside Kung FU, you know this movie is going to be a killer with all the kung fu action. To actually have bruises and even a cut from the sword fight, that proves the action that you’re seeing even in the teaser trailer is going to be as real as possible. Kudos to QT for keeping the wire work to a minimum!

From reading David’s words, I want to see this movie more than effer.

As much as I wanna see the awesome fight scenes in Kill Bill, I also am really interested in seeing the chapters that dont deal with kung fu/samurai fighting. Specifically: The Comatose Bride, The Man From Okinawa, The Lonely Grave of Paula Schultz (this ones bound to be alot of fun, it reminded me of a Spaghetti Western) and The Blood Splattered Bride (up until the end theres no real big fight scene).

I cant wait to see all the details QT puts into the film as far as visuals (split screen, The Crazy 88 blood spurting bodies, comic book thought balloons, Shaw Bros zooms, Sergio Leone Closeups, long tracking shots, deep focus shots (hopefully), high contrast black n white shots, colored filters, etc).

This film is gonna be a carnival of supercool, exciting, crazy cinematic images and moments. I cannot wait till October!!! 8)

Will there be a Superbowl Spot? I just can’t get enough of the Teaser Trailer. I want more goddamn it!

Still, I don’t know what to think about Kill Bill. It will be a great movie, no doubt, but it will be strange too. Look at Pei Mei in the Teaser Trailer. Odd. Plus Quentin Tarantino dubbing him? Weird. The Bride’s name peepd out? Strange.

Hell this movie is going to be one of a kind…as were his other movies.

If you didnt know: Pai Mei is a character from the Shaw Brothers kung fu films, QT didnt make him up.

I’ll watch the whole thing for sure. It will be interesting just to see what the Bride goes through and how she’s going to get her revenge. But my main focus will to be to see David Carradine. I can’t help singing his praises. To see him up there on the big screen (not since Bird on a Wire) is going to be one hell of a ride, and he’s going to be doing kung fu and sword fighting, which I have never seen him do on the big screen. The article that I read in Inside Kung Fu just wetted my appetite for more.

Amen, AJ. I think this film will show David Carradine in all his glory. I know QT has written a one of a kind role for him, something that will make the audience see that David is one of the coolest, toughest, legendary actors around. For all us David Carradine fans, its gonna be one great movie experience.

Note: I’ve never seen a movie in a theater that had Carradine in it. Wow!

AJCrane, please cease and desist the david carrodine pole smoking. I am starting to wonder if he has a restraining order on you… If he doesn’t the he really should. you are scaring the shit out of me. Either you are a direct relative or a complete psychopath. I am also convinced that if david carrodine wasn’t in this movie you would never see it. ;D

I just watched the supercool, ultra colorful Kill Bill trailer on E!'s Coming Attractions…

I just saw the trailer for the millionth time or something, and I paused at the sequence with the frog views on Vivica, Daryl and Lucy, all wearing black turtle necks. Glancing down at my own black turtle neck, I realised I am wearing the exact same sweater, stripes and everything.

Does this mean I’m out of style? The shot of the women is supposed to be past, right? not present. Sounds reasonable enough, since I took this sweater from my father a couple of years ago, it probably was occupying closet space even longer before I came over it.

Yes Ken_Kumle. You really truely are horribly out of style. Tsk tsk tsk…have things gotten so expensive in Norway that you can’t afford clothes anymore(Please be Norwegian)? L Dont worry about clothes. Go around naked. :o

I haven’t watched the trailer. I avoid watching trailers. I avoid reading about movies I really want to see. I want to be completely and utterly surprised. I do the same thing when it comes to LOTR and Tim Burton movies.

I can afford clothes, but why buy clothes when you can buy beer, CD’s, DVD’s, concert tickets, more beer and all the other crap noone really needs.

Anyway, style is all relative, some people make everything look good.

Hi Ken… you do know I was just kidding, right?

I’d rather buy a movie than clothes too. But sometimes I feel society’s pressure for me to look decent and pretty and girly and all that jazz and I buy some clothes and make-up. ::slight_smile:

And I’m sure you make anything look good. I do too ;D

Kill Bill teaser is in the Gangs of New York DVD(Great DVD for a Great movie) but only for region 1 DVDs. My DVD which is region 2 doesn’t have it! Only for American DVDs! :frowning: :’( FUCK! >:( >:(

I bought the Gangs DVDs the other day. After watching it for the second time, I gotta say its not one of Martys best films. It just lacks something for me. It just doesnt grab me like his other films have. Anyway, now its in my Scorsese collection. But I dont plan on watching it very much.

I was more excited to watch the Kill Bill trailer several times than Gangs itself!! I LOVE THAT FUCKIN TRAILER!!

Oh well I think GONY will be more appreciated in about a decade from now . I think it was a masterpiece, seen it 4 times as we speak. But OK it’s not better than for example Casino, but I find all his movies as masterpieces or something like that.

Goddamn the european DVDs, why-why not kill bill???

FUCK REGION 2!
