Kill Bill errors and mistakes topic

When she jumps out of the wheelchair, it rolls back and hits something (all auditory) out of view and probably towards the next lot of cars on the other side (which we never get to see when she pulls out of the garage). There is no error here.

Yeah you only see like half of the lot. (or even less simply a portion of)
Well then you could make up any scenerio, in order for something NOT to be an error.  You would think the nurse would see her in the car, while she was putting the wheel chair back, so I doubt that.  I think it’s an error.
It’s impossible to tell what’s an error and what’s not. Tarantino wants you to make shit up. That’s why he won’t say what’s in the briefcase. That’s his raison d’être. He wants you to fill in the gaps and imagine things the way you want them.
I counted 3… after she crossed off Vernita Green in the Pussy Wagon well… that writting was different then what they showed later in the movie. Not really a big deal I guess. But then when The Bride crossed off O-Ren’s name it was black on black ink. Then @ the end of the movie on the airplane when she was making the list she was writing the names in red ink. Am I missing something here?
and also the whole wheel chair affaire, all could have a very simple explanation (taken from the IMDB.com site):
Incorrectly regarded as goofs: The many continuity lapses and other apparent technical errors are a matter of deliberate stylistic choice in this pastiche of 1970s “B” action movies.
and as for the ‘why did she go all the way to Japan and then to CA, why didn’t she kill the people in texas first (e.g. Budd)’:

I don’t know if that point has been cleared up already but maybe she first went to O-ren, since she was the easiest to find being a mob underworld boss and all; then there she does her thing and takes armless sofie fatale with her; she persuades her to talk after some fine surgery and it is THEN that she finds out where the other people/DiVAS are. so my theory is, she’s doesn’t (exactly) know where everybody is, so she first gets the easiest then sofie gives all the other info; then the Bride goes of to CA to get even with Vernita Green.

hope that cleared up some things

sorry if this has already been addressed, i just cant read all the posts, is making my head hurt…

anyway, the one inconsistency i can’t rationalize away is that uma’s hair length changes too often and in such a way that seems too abrupt and often to make logical sense in the narrative…

answers?!

Her hair length doesn’t change, it’s just how she wears it, that makes it look different.

well I think it does change. if you compare her hair length when she’s first visiting Hattori Hanzo and she’s pretending to be a toursit and you compare it to other scenes there seems to be a difference. I would have to check the movie again to make it out clearly

check again…i’ve seen it five times, noticed this the second time and it’s been buggin’ me ever since. all the other inconsistencies i’ve rationalized away, but i cant seem to find a good explanation for the hair

hair

short - at hospital

long - at hatori hanzo’s

short - on the plane

long - at house of blue leaves

short - at vernita’s

this is the sequence were it a linear narrative…don’t be stupid…

Huh? I’m not sure if we’re watching the same movie

Vernita’s - long

Hospital - long

Hattori Hanzo’s - long

HoBL - long

Plane - looks short, but I’m guessing it’s the way she wore it

And just to prove you and/or anyone else who thinks her hair length fluctuates during the flm wrong, i’ll go way out of my way just to show you guys… jesus, i dont know where you’re getting this from

Vernita’s House Screen Shot… you say it’s short? Look again: Yahoo | Mail, Weather, Search, Politics, News, Finance, Sports & Videos  it’s clearly up in a pony tail

Hospital you say is short also?  again, don’t know where you got that from: Yahoo | Mail, Weather, Search, Politics, News, Finance, Sports & Videos

Plane: still the same length, it’s just how she puts her hair…

Yahoo | Mail, Weather, Search, Politics, News, Finance, Sports & Videos

you’vegot some good evidence there, you know the hair thing could just be an optical illusion or something though it really seems pretty long at Hattori’s, but reconsidering it, it nots that bad. but whatever, it doesn’t really matter right: I wanna see some more nifty shit  who else saw something sneaky QT put in there?

Hm, I would think that you probably have read elsewhere about some real errors, all the one’s that were mentioned here so far are no errors but intentional.

Don’t know if these errors have been mentioned somewhere else in here, I apologize if you have discussed them already.

The close up shot of her face after she hacks off Sofie’s arm has no blood at all on her face. When she then walks towards the stairs you can see the blood from Sofie in her face.

The sweat on the T-Shirt changes in the kitchen scene when she talks to Vernita, from small to very big back to small.

Vernita holds the picture of her daughter on the bottom corner in the frontal shot but on the back shot she holds it on the top corner of the picture.

When O-Ren chops off Tanakas head when the blood spills out you can see her holding the sword in a overhand grip. When she turns around after the blood shower stops she is holding the sword in a underhand grip.

When The Bride gets cut on her back during the fight with O-Ren she bleeds quite heavily. She falls backwards in the snow and when she gets up there is no blood in the snow whatsoever.

^^ I wonder who actually noticed those things. :stuck_out_tongue: But yeah, I think I found another one. When she gets hit in the chest with the mase from GoGo, there’s blood all over in her mouth on her teeth etc, but when she gets back up, it’s all gone.

another couple:

When Vernita and Uma fight Vernita’s zip up top is zipped to the black section of the top. When the knife hits her in the chest and she’s lying on the floor you can see that the top is zipped all the way to the white section of the top.

After Uma killed Vernita and realises that the girl is standing behind her she sort of hides the knife in front of her. The next shot shows The Bride fully exposing the knife in front of the girel, not hiding it. Then it goes back to the hiding and grabbing a towel to clean the knife.

There is one scene that her hair length really changes. AFter she gets off the plane to tokyo with the green hornet song playing, and her hair length in the house of blue leaves are very very different

No, it's not. In the airport shots her hair is just blow-dried very straight (instead of her more curly, natural look) and she has her hair tucked inside her jacket. That's why it looks shorter. Her hair is the same length throughout the movie just different styles.

Look at the screen shots I posted, her hair length DOES NOT CHANGE. Do you honestly think that Quentin Tarantino is dumb enough to actually change her hair length like that?

Watch Uma’s face when she cuts off Sofie’s arm - she fully squinces/closes her eyes. Not very professional for an assassin but ah i dont think Uma liked doing that

We have to remember that this all takes place in the kill bill universe, not your ordinary world
Hm, I would think that you probably have read elsewhere about some real errors, all the one’s that were mentioned here so far are no errors but intentional.
we shouldn’t wonder as to what error was intentional and which one was accidental because you can never tell. He’s just trying to mimic the ‘feel’ of the old B-movies (as you all know) and they had a lot of continuity errors and stuff. so let’s not yap about what was intentional, just post your findings, intentional or not.

btw, I didn’t notice the sweat on the t-shirt changing, that’s a good one.
