I think if they were intentional, they wouldn’t be so settle, they would jump out more, to the viewers know they are intentional.
no, that’s not true. QT isn’t the type of the director’s that wants to smack things that are supposed to be little in your face. I mean, when Butch (Bruce Willis for the n00bs) is gettin his watch back in Pulp Fiction, and you can hear a radio saying that a trophy from jackrabbit slim’s was stolen, it’s small, sneaky, and maybe only noticed after a first viewing. he didn’t write it on the walls, or let mia and vince talk about it, or raise the sound of the radio.
QT has an eye for detail, and wants to bring it real subtle. it’s the same with the intentional errors. it’s the same with the homages he’s bringing with this movie: although some are openly noticable because you can’t go around them (shawscope intro, bruce lee outfit, etc.), some are deeply rooted, and the reference is only caught by those for know or pay attention (the water well in the o-ren vs. bride fight; gogo yubari’s outfit that resembles her outfit in her other psycho-role in Battle Royale; etc.)
the goal of these errors is to bring them as if they were accidental, like the cheap b-movies it mimics. they had these errors due to high production costs (e.g. they couldn’t do a scene over and over it had to be fast). Kill Bill wants to give you that same grindhouse flavour.
so trust me, the intentional errors are not shown, freeze framed, rewinded and the nshown again in slow motion. they are cunningly intertwined with the movie for us to notice (or not).

I agree 100%. If QT wanted every detail to be perfectly matched it would be. The whole idea behind Kill Bill is that QT didnt want to do a arthouse meditation on Grindhouse films, he wanted to give his audiences the genuine article. So all those little “errors” are part of the charm of the Grindhouse theme of the movie. For me, I love hearing about all the little details and screw ups people find in Kill Bill. I think they just add to the overall charm and uniqueness of it.
I mean anyone who starts his film off with a “Filmed in Shawscope” logo and an old Grindhouse “Feature Presentation” leader, you should automatically know these things are intentional.
How is stealing the trophy a movie error? It’s just misleading that’s all not an error. No where does it say “WE WON” or “They won,” you just assume they do.
uhm, deliveryman, I think you didn’t get my point exactly. the example of PF’s trophy wasn’t an example of a movie error but it was to show the finesse and effort QT puts in his movies: his eye for detail. the errors in his latest flick are just the same (this doesn’t go for all his movies), again he has this eye for detail only this time he is playing with continuity and other grindhouse typical things.
Oh, I see, but I still disagree with you . I don’t think you can compare the two things with eachother because they’re totally different, it’s like apples and oranges.
ok, suit yourself but you get my point right?
so we’re absolutely clear on rule #1? ;D
I dont know if its already mentioned but I didn’t hope so.
Otherwise I figuered out another mistake…
I realized that error the last time I watched Kill Bill at the movies.
Scene:
Anime-Sequence; O-Ren on the roof; pointing at the President
Mistake:
O-Ren is looking through the telescope of her rifle. There you can see Miss Panama sitting on the right side of the president and Miss Venezuela on the left hand. Please notice that Miss Panama wears a tiara (a jewelry) on her forehead. Miss Venezuela does not.
Shoot.
Next scene we’re looking through the back-seat into the car. There you can see the girl with the jewelry on the right side but obviously she has to sit on the left side of the hole cause we are looking into the car.
Does anybody noticed that thing?
Wow, that’s a good one, no I don’t think no one here has noticed that before, damn you have a good eye.
Well Since it got erased I will say it again
I noticed while go-go and the bride are fighting that when uma is hit with the ball she is knocked down and chokes up a mouth full of blood when they show her right after her mouth is clean no blood at all

It probably got erased because that has been said before, if you look back at the other posts on this thread.
Hi! I have one question about something I never understood: After awaking from her coma, how can The Bride tell how long she’s been gone? After crying for the loss of her baby she stares at her hands and murmurs “four years”
??? Can anyone explain, please?
Lol im sure this was answered, but i didnt bother to read the repsonsed so here we go, Bill only killded uma cuz she brok his heart. Vernita didnt so he doesnt give a shit about her. And how do you know go go was with her the whole time? The never say that. All they say is shes her personal guard. How do you know that she didnt get the crazy bitch 3 yrs later…How do you know that she met GO GO when she was 14? Altho 14s young Oren was young as well when she started to kill

wow wow wow wait a minute. looking in to the car, from seat. that isnt a mistake. the bullet goes through the car and into the brain, then the camera stays at the opening hole in the back of the guys head with blood splattered all over the back glass. so the girls are in the right position. thats what i belive.
so who thinks it is looking from the back seat into the car and who thinks it is looking from the hole in his head into the car?

Well that scene was very cleverly directed. The camera (if there is one) follows the bullet from the point of view of O-Ren until it goes through the guys head, so we see it go into the front of his head, then our view changes (by 180 degrees) whilst the bullet is going through his brain, so that we see it from the point of view of the man getting shot, and as the women are by his side, they both look at his face, and so are looking at the camera (if there is one, I don’t understand how they shoot anime!)

so thats how u see it. i see it as how i explained it and then he has died so he just falls forward and the back of his head is facing the roof back window direction and they are looking through the back of his head.
as we all know sophie lost her TWO arms (second arm showd only on japanese version - on the other it’s just a hint"
but when the bride throw her down the hill we can clearly see she has at least one arm…

The Bride cuts a piece off her second arm, so when she throw her down the hill you see a piece off her arm !
NO !
look at the picture i arrched - you clearly see the palm of her hand
