How cool is that sentence? Seems to me I’ve heard it somewhere before. I think it’s awesome! It works on a very basic level: “Lotsa action!” and also on another deeper level, like the world is so bad that there will always be work/a need for people who do very bad things.

Yeah, exactly, that’s what I said, to people like you, fanboy geeks. No, I don’t prefer historical dramas, but I prefer stuff on a more visceral-less-exploitation level than the trashy homage world of Death Proof etc. It’s OK if he can do it with great stories too, i.e. Pulp Fiction. And Pulp is one of the most important films of modern cinema. So my point still stands, but obviously you don’t agree with it.

I see where you are coming from, and what I find saddening is that there are so many people like you, who prefer “great cinema”, etc. and look down on B-movies and movies that are just for fun. Yes, Pulp Fiction is one of the most important films of modern cinema. Doesn’t make a difference when I’m asking myself which movie I love more. If it were made today, it would make less of an impact, but I would love it just the same. I’m not a fanboy, if being a fanboy includes sucking up and loving everything QT does and agreeing with everything that hes says. Loving it just because it’s from the man doesn’t apply for me.
I just watched the teaser with my dad. It’s incredible how I first mentioned the film to him in like 2003, and now here we are, finally in 2009 with the film release just months away. When I watched it, it gave me goosebumps. And this is just the teaser!!

LMAO! Geez. Already waiting for what’s next. Take a pill, man. We just got the long-awaited, and ever-so-anticipated teaser trailer. Sit back, take a deep breath, and bask in it’s awesomeness.
This trailer is so awesome cause unlike most other standard movie trailers:
Tarantino films cannot be spoiled by a trailer.
Tarantino films are not about the plot and knowing everything about the plot, you enjoy every moment of the movie as a cinematic experience.
I think Tarantino should do a new movie every year. He can write scripts in as little as a couple of weeks like with Reservoir Dogs. The 6 years between Jackie Bron and Kill Bill, the 4 years between Kill Bill and Death Proof and the 2 years between Death Proof and Inglourious Basterds, it’s too long.
Tarantino should take less hollidays on the carribeans or whatever he does between making movies, and spend all his time cranking out a new movie each year.
If Woody Allen can make 44 movies in 43 years, then Tarantino must be able to increase the speed and make them faster than 6 movies in 17 years.
