After a long period of rumor and speculation, Quentin Tarantino’s “Hell Ride” has finally received the green light. According to longtime Tarantino collaborator and leading man Michael Madsen, who is set to star in the movie, Tarantino just recently received the good news. “It’s a motorcycle picture,” Madsen reported, squinting and rasping in his trademark style. The film, which Tarantino will produce, was written and will be directed by actor Larry Bishop. “He was the one in the [strip] club [in ‘Kill Bill 2’] who tells me to take my hat off,” Madsen said. “Hell Ride” will be “reminiscent of the '70s, those motorcycle pictures they made with Joe Namath; the really bad B-movie motorcycle movies,” he continued. “We’re gonna make it like that, but in modern times, with that kind of idea behind it. I think that’s what makes it fun.” The project, a revenge-fueled tale of three “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”-type characters, is slated begin filming soon. …
’'Almost three years after it was first announced, Larry Bishop is finally set to begin filming this spring for Hell Ride, a blood and sex-soaked tale of motorcycle revenge and retribution under the “Quentin Tarantino Presents” banner.
The “chopper opera” has Bishop starring, writing, directing and producing along with Tarantino. Bishop will play bad-ass biker Pistolero (named after the original title for Robert Rodriguez’s Desperado) who along with his brother The Gent and Comanche, hit the road to avenge the death of Pistolero’s old lady Cherokee Kisum by the 666ers, a rival motorcycle gang.
Filming is scheduled to start late April in Los Angeles. ‘’

a real old-school biker flick… make it rated R, put lots of chicks, rock and roll music and harley davidsons in there and you’re fine mr bishop
I don’t see the point to this film, there’s like 5 Peter Fonda films that deal with the same biker themes. I remember watching the one Roger Corman directed. . .“Hell’s Angels” I think, it definately had the word Angels in it, it was awful. I hate biker films.
It bothers me that QT uses his name to promote unknowns. Like the movie Hostel, everyone thinks he made it, some people don’t know the difference between producer and director. And I think that hurts his reputation, when audiences dislike that certain film. GRINDHOUSE is a good example of that. Seriously who the hell is Larry Bishop. (I know he was in VOL. II)
