"Grindhouse" films of the 60s, 70s, and 80s on DVD

I am hoping that the attention Quentin and Robert’s films are receiving will enable the films shown at the Grindhouse festival (and others) to be released on DVD in the near future.

What are your favorites on DVD?

I asked this same question in the ILSA-SHE WOLF thread here. I hope that gets re-released. As for your other question:

Well one of my favorite movies is Rolling Thunder and it has yet to be released on dvd, im hoping after grindhouse comes out it might get released.

I´d really love to have the following flicks to be releases in a GOOD DVD version

Women in Cages

Love Camp 7

Black Cobra 3

Attack Force Nam

Stone Cold - not really grindhouse

Warriors of the Wasteland

Twisted Justice

OK not on DVD but you know where you can find Rolling Thunder? On Showtime this month. No bullshit - they seem to be getting the whole Grindhouse thing.

I got 6 months free for something or other and I was VERY surprised to see stuff like ICHI the Killer, Gozu, Rolling Thunder, Queen of Blood, Night of the Comet, Brotherhood of Death, the Eliminators - and alot of it playing within the past few months. I am a bit surprised at what they have to offer.

That being said, the DVD that gets me in the mood is the SOMETHING WEIRD TRAILERS DVD. It is one DVD but full of great trailers like AXE, The Curious Dr Hump and lots more. It was only like 5 bucks so I couldnt go wrong.

My next movie to see is maybe Salon Kitty. Any one recommend this?

Even better than “Something Weird” are the “42nd Street Forever” DVDs. There’s two of them, and they are chock full of grindhouse trailers just like that.

Plus there is a 42nd street porn edition

1.Yeah, the Showtime networks (Every now and then) will grind out some unknown classics here and there. The Peace Killers has definetly been the best gem I’ve discovered yet. Last night, Blind Beast was on, but I didn’t get to finish it.

2.I love that “Extra Weird” sampler. It introduced to so much stuff. And yes, that Axe trailer is awesome.

3.I reviewed it here:

Anyone ever seen, “I Spit on Your Corpse and Piss on Your Grave”?

Saw it at movie store and was afriad of it being a rip off of I Spit on Your Grave…

Movie Stop in Huntsville. It’s the same store I had told you about, not too long ago. It’s in the plaza with Super Target. They even have The Big Doll House. That blew my mind!!

What!? I live three hours away from Huntsville so i guess i wont be going there…maybe they have it at MS-Video(there’s just something i love about an all vhs store)

Whaaaa? THREE HOURS? When did you move?! haha

Where is MS-Video?

Muscle Shoals Video(MS-Video, sounds cooler doesnt it)

Haha - definitely. I want to look up some more in the area…but I think that about covers it. I’m sure there are others in Huntsville I could explore… :-</E>

I wish there was a decent Tattoo Connection dvd

i wish there was a PETS dvd
