Grind House split in two outside USA

The film sites in the netherlands also said Grindhouse was just one film. Its split here as well. Don’t cheer to fast

hilarious. just after ranting about Grindhouse’s non-appearance on Irish film release schedules, i check RTE teletext which informs me that GRINDHOUSE IS RELEASED IN IRELAND ON FRIDAY, 1ST JUNE! WOO HOO!
[/quote]

its a bit far away but its still great news no split! what page was it on aertel cause I cant find it?

You guys have probably already seen this, but I just grabbed it from imdb.com-

Country Date

Finland 1 June 2007 (‘Death Proof’)

Norway 1 June 2007 (‘Death Proof’)

Sweden 1 June 2007 (‘Death Proof’)

Belgium 6 June 2007 (‘Death Proof’)

Netherlands 7 June 2007 (‘Death Proof’)

Germany 14 June 2007 (‘Death Proof’)

Netherlands 19 July 2007 (‘Planet Terror’)

Germany 26 July 2007 (‘Planet Terror’)

Belgium 1 August 2007 (‘Planet Terror’)

Norway 14 September 2007 (‘Planet Terror’)

Finland 21 September 2007 (‘Planet Terror’)

Sweden 28 September 2007 (‘Planet Terror’)

Which, although it doesn’t really bother me as I’m in the UK, SUCKS for every other European. I mean, surely the whole POINT of Grindhouse is to be in the double feature format?

Grr.

Though saying that, I can understand. The running time IS pretty long. But hey, Lord of the Rings was 3 hours lol…

What about France ? :o

I guess france doesnt matter

I have to wait until 14 September 2007 (‘Planet Terror’) to see Planet Terror, thats just unfair!

as far as I know Death Proof in June and Planet Terror in August. + a midnight screening of Planet Terror ONLY (???) at the Cannes Film Festival…

Blah… No good news then… Wasn’t Beath Proof supposed to be shown at Cannes ? I guess QT wasn’t ready for it, weird.

i actually hoped that the US cut of Grindhouse would have made it for Cannes as the Weinstein company is throwing this big Grindhouse party …

I read that Death Proof was gonna be shown at Cannes…

“Come May, “Death Proof” will be crashing into Cannes. The Tarantino half of “Grind House,” which stars Kurt Russell as a deranged psycho who kills people with his car, will be extended and entered into the French film festival, Tarantino plans.”

I sure hope you’re right!

so what is it gonna be?? just death proof or both?

only Death Proof, from what I read on allocine.com

even the french title is fucked up it means "Death’s boulevard"

I’m so sad

I guess I’ll order the DVD from America, yeah Seb I swear I’ll use the QT Archives links to do so!

Or watch them online they are all over the place

no way man!

it’s fucked up enough I have to watch’em at home and wait months for that, I don’t want to spoil the fun by watching it on a goddamn low-resolution computer screen!

as far as i know Death Proof is running IN competition.

UPDATE: yep.

Yes, I read that as well…

Yepp. Here in europe the death proof-prt comes first, and planet terror isnt released until a couple of days later. They even have diferent trailers. They had to edit them to fit the marked in Eu, because it had quite harsh critics, and was kinda flopped. I will buy the original one… Definately…
