The same =-)
Apparently I’m completely insane. I’m Go-Go. ??? And here I thought I was the epitome of normality.
Hey, Ramona, maybe you and Gogo are completly normal and we Mia - me and O-Ren are completly insane? hehehe
Anyway, it is good to see you posting here! You are one of the veterans of this boards.
I´m just curious. You post so less and has much to say!
Are you still visting this site or were you away the last time?
I’m Sofie Fatale
You’re at your best when you’re talking, so that’s what you do every chance you get. You’re reliable in intellectual situations, but you aren’t a “hands on” kind of person.
Can someone explain me what "a “hands on” kind of person. " means?
it means you like to physically work and do stuff
I’ve always been a Tarentino fan, but after I saw Kill Bill I thought to myself, ‘hey, QT has gone and made a feminist action flick without really trying!’ No retarded love story, no in-your-face cleavage - fuck that mid-90s Spice Girls shit, this is girl power!
WOW, it really seems that we have many, many female QT fans here on this board!
That is so cool!
I agree with Phlox. Kill Bill is very much a female empowerment type of movie. I think that it’s cool that he just has this built-in respect for females that comes from growing up on the movies of the 70’s.
hey guys… i’m kind of feeling special that this topic is posted…
i’m a female QT fan… I love it… I grew up with 2 older brothers, one of which loved RD and PF, so I learned to love them too and his style of work… I get alot of crap from guys who hear I’m a qt fan, then fnd it neccessary to quiz me on trivia thinking I’m making it up…
but thanks to the nice guys for the acceptance, you need a bit of estrogen to calm the testostrone down in here!
Hi and welcome to the board. Hope you enjoy to be here!
It is really cool, cuz something about 20 % of the user here are women. I´m on some boards, but there are less women than here…
What are the experience of the other female here? Do you find many women on other movie boards. (although, no one really cares, if someone is a male or a female. We are all here for the movies…)
i’m on another tarantino board too… and there is maybe like a 7/1 ratio over there with woman… i have seen maybe one or 2 active women other than myself over there…
That is what I really appriciate here. There are so many cool women with a great taste in movies here.
I mean for me it is okay, to post on a board with only male members. I never have had any problems with it.
But to see that there are so many other women who share my personal taste in movies is cool.
And it is great that the guys here are more than nice. I mean it is cool to talk with them about movies.
It is a lot of fun being here.
yea the people here are pretty chill…i’m trying to get my friends into it too… but only one of them is starting to love the movies… the rest think its either too violent (but compared to other movies, hardly) or just to boring, they dont get the dialog…
i also got o-ren on my quiz…
My first exposure was ResDogs. Didn’t know who directed it or anything about film back then. Just knew I loved it. It was my kind of movie, with some bad ass named Madsen in it. Life goes on and out of nowhere comes PULP FICTION. It was like a godsend to me. He was the culmination of action, suspense, drama and hipness done up in a pretty red bow by the hottest man I’ve ever seen. I told myself, ‘I wouldn’t care if he directed traffic. I’d want to be with him’.
That was my introduction into QT. Since then I’ve learned to love all films, even the bad ones. They have something to offer too. I’ve seen every movie he’s done and consider Res Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill 2 to be my favorites. His characters are actually interesting, which is a hard task. Think about it, how many truly interesting people do you know.
I think its strange that not many girls like QT because they just assume that they wont. My sis first introduced me to QT (she’s a huge QT fan too), and I showed Pulp Fiction to my friends at a party, at first none of them wanted to see it because they reckoned it was a ‘gore and guts’ film, or ‘too violent’, but after watching they all thought it was brilliant…but then again who wouldnt 8)
On the quiz, I’m Vernita Green. Not bad, not bad. Would rather have been Go Go. ;D
Hey, I’m another female fan
My girl friends actually hate all Tarantino’s movies ??? I made them see KB and PF and they hated me for that…I was like :o :o
I became a Tarantino fan after seeing Kill Bill, so I’m new in the bussiness , but I’ve already seen all of his movies and I’m still wondering why I didn’t become a fan earlier…I think it was because I was too young to understand him…
Is is true that only the 20% of people here are women? Wow :
Ehm…Hello!
My name is Amanda,
I first became a Quentin Tarantino fan 8 years ago, when I first saw “From Dusk Till Dawn” on my 18th birthday. And I have to admit I had never heard of him until I saw the movie,(which I went to see because of George Clooney), and I was completely blown away, what a genius!!
A month after seeing “From Dusk Till Dawn” I bought “Reservoir Dogs” and “Pulp Fiction”, and was not disappointed with them at all, “Four Rooms” and “Jackie Brown” are classics and not to mention the terrific “Kill Bill” and “Kill Bill 2” what more can I say the man is a genius, not to mention he is gorgeous too!!! ;D
