Coolest detail

a small scene that i love that i always forget about everytime i watch the movie is when the black dude at the bar walks into the underground area and tells Marsellus about Butch’s fight and also Vincent and Mia quickly chat. i dont know why i love that part so much, maybe cuz it looks so fuckin great in widescreen

Its the same with me…everytime I watch pulp its like I watch that scene for the first time…like its a deleted scene…I dont know exactly why…but I really like that part also still seeing M. Wallace from the back is cool…

The car scene is so awesome…but I always liked it when Vince says “Everything there is just a little different.” and then the straight cut to Jules as he says "Example."

He doesnt say “whatch you mean” or “gimme an example” its just so blunt. And yet it comes across as if he is genuinely interested in what Vince has to say. Very original.

since i don’t feel like going to the other thread, i’ll just post in here. one of my favorite lines in Pulp Fiction is when Jules is in the diner at the end and says "Shut the fuck up, Fat man! Was I talkin to you?"

i am just starting to use that line in real life, it is that good

A part that I also enjoy:

the way travolta says: watcha mean walk the earth?

jules: you know like caine in kung fu…

"No Jules, you’re gonna be like those pieces of shit out there who beg for change. They walk around like a bunch  of fuckin’ zombies, they sleep in garbage bins, they eat what I throw away, and dogs piss on 'em. They got  a word for ‘em, they’re called bums. And without a job, residence, or legal tender, that’s what you’re gonna be ? a fuckin’ bum!"

That’s one of my fave coffeeshop banters. Classic from Vince.

I LURRRRVE telling my friends that I’m going to be a bum (when I’m on semester break). And they don’t even know what hit 'em.

I LOVE the line when Jules and Vincent’s in the bathroom, and Vince is using the towel to clean his bloody hands, and Jules complains that it looks like a goddamn maxi pad…that was too funny

It always reminded me of when we were acting stupid in McD’s and this one friend did some crazy shit by ‘constructing’ a pad using the serviette, coke and ketchup. Gross.

For me, one of the coolest little details in the movie isnt really something any of the characters say or do…its more of the way QT structured the film in terms of the non linear story…let me explain…I read this in an article somewhere…so if you heard it before, let me be. Ok, so we all know that PF isnt in chronological order right? Well, the coolest little detail I could think of is the part where Butch goes back to his apartment to get his watch…cause if you think about it, that is the last thing that SHOULD happen in the movie, aside from Butch riding off on the chopper…ifthe movie was in order, that would be the last thing to actually happen right? Well, I love the fact that that scene came before the part where Jules says hes “quitting the life”, because…if you notice,  when Butch leaves the apartment he runs into Marcelles, but why would Marcelles just so happen to be walking by? Because Jules, at that point and time, had already quit, so Marcelles instead joins Vincent in staking out Butch’s place. Man, I think Tarantino is a genius for thinking of these little tiny details like that, truely oneof the smartest filmmakers in the history of cinema!

and the funny thing is Marcellus left his uzi at Butch’s apartment to go get donuts…

Mother fucka!!

*smack…

One of my favorite parts in PF is where Vincent looks into the briefcase and goes into a sort of transe. Very important to what is in the briefcase in my opinion. :-/

I like when Vince is so stoned and talks to the intercom… Man I love John Travolta in this movie

I always thought it was Vince that left the Uzi on the counter instead of bringing it in with him to take a shyt. I guess it could go either way.

when vince is at lance’s house and when lance first appears he refers to vincent as “Vinchenzo” this shows they have a pretty friendly relationship and go a ways back.

Vince is a hitman. He wouldn’t own a uzi. He has a pistol. The uzi is Marcellus’s.

I love the realistic music details in almost every QT movie.Like in Pulp Fiction when Butch shows up for the first time when he talks to marsellus in the bar you can hear All Green’s “Let’s Stay Togheter”.During his conversation with Marsellus the songs keeps on playing and when Vince and Jules arrive and the bartender invites thel in you can hear the music fading out till they enter the bar.Just great. In reservoir Dogs it’s the scene when Mr.Blonde starts torturing Marvin Nash.Blonde turns on the radion and the song “Stuck In The Middle With You” starts and after a while when he walks out of the warehouse to get the gasoline out of his car it’s cool that the music stops when he walks but just keeps on playing during that periode and when he re-enters the song still plays.

Or at the beginning of Pulp Fiction (after Pumpkin and Huneybunny)

You got the starting credits and you got the “Misirlou” intro, after a while someone changes the radio station and “Jungle Boogie” starts playing and when the movie actually starts you can actually still hear the Jungle Boogie playing in Jules’s car,so it was probable Vince or Jules who were changing the station.

By far…by far the best detail is…the wallet!!! Funniest shit ever!!! When Paul says “Vincent Vega my man from Amsterdam, Jules Winnfield my man from Inglewood” Paul (hes the bartender) was making fun of Jules in a way. If your from L.A. you get the little inside L.A. jokes. By the way… I’m from INGLEWOOOOOOOD!!! YAY YAY

Yes, you’ve told us a million times. You can sit down now.

that’s english bob, not “paul” he just said that as an expression.

jules says “my names pitt and your ass ain’t talkin your way outta this shit”, but his names not pitt.

it’s a rhyme thing.

The way Wolf acknowledges the quality of Jimmie’s coffee.
