He must like putting numbers like that in the background. Like the 69 in Kill Bill
numbers are fun
The address of the Manhattan Beach police station is 420. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I don’t get it…what’s the deal with the “420” thing?
*cough, just kidding guys
**rubs bloodshot eyes
Here’s a detail that I thought was cool, but I think Ebert explains it better, in fact perfectly:
And that scene also begins with dialogue that seems like fun, while it’s also laying more groundwork. We meet Lance’s girlfriend Jody (Rosanna Arquette), who is pierced in every possible place and talks about her piercing fetish. Tarantino is setting up his payoff. When the needle goes into the heart, you’d expect that to be one of the most gruesome moments in the movie, but audiences, curiously, always laugh. In a shot-by-shot analysis at the University of Virginia, we found out why. QT never actually shows the needle entering the chest. He cuts away to a reaction shot in which everyone hovering over the victim springs back simultaneously as Mia leaps back to life. And then Jody says it was ``trippy’’_and we understand that, as a piercer, she has seen the ultimate piercing. The body language and the punchline take a grotesque scene and turn it into dark but genuine comedy. It’s all in the dialogue and the editing. Also, of course, in the underlying desperation, set up by thoughts of what Marsellus might do to Vincent, since killing Mrs. Wallace is much worse than massaging her foot.
…I guess this is why QT takes so long editing his movies? (ie, Kill Bill vol.2)
I think the coolest detail is in the opening scene, where you can just barely hear Jules and Vince discuss Jule’s plan to retire while Pumpkin is yammering about bank jobs. And then the camera cuts to Honey Bunny, and just behind her head you can see Vince walk past on his way to the bathroom.
I tell ya, that trivia track is a godsend.
id like to start a new topic saying this but it isnt worht the space.
i think its an interesting detail how Jules basically says he’ll kill Bonnie if she comes home. When he’s talking to Marcellus, it’s implied by something they say.
HE doesn’t say anything like that…he says “we dont’ know what she’s liable to do” or something
As in, she’ll freak out, call the cops, scream and yell, ect.

marcellus says something like youd take care of business if she came home right? and then jules says you know i would, but that aint gonna happen cause u gonna send the wolf. listen again.
JULES
’Cause if push met shove, you know
I’ll take care of business.
thats the quote im refering too.
there’s a whole piece of dialogue thats like in the script, but its not in the movie.
I just watched it 3 days ago and don’t recall the line. I could be wrong though.
It’s not necessarily a small detail but i love it when the drug dealer is showing Vince how to stick the needle in Uma’s heart and he goes “like this” and pretends to stab her 3 times. Vince goes “i gotta stab her 3 times?” or something like that and that always makes me laugh
Also when Vince is fucked up on his heroin and he starts talkin to the intercom like its a real person
Also when Vince is fucked up on his heroin and he starts talkin to the intercom like its a real person
I like how he presses it again and simpy says, “OK” That was great…he’s so stoned.
One of my favorite lines is “Can i shoot up at your place?” “Be my guest” “Muchos grasias”
the intercom part was pretty good but i also like the part when Jules starts asking brett what a quarter pounder is in europe. jules is all interested in the matter and i especially like the part when he goes “check out the big brains on brett!”
A part that I love in the film is not really a detail, but after vince reads the note on the door at mias, the way it cuts into the room and lays Son of a preacher man. I know it’s not really a detail, but I love it because nobody would have came that way
i like it when Mia waves her hands in the air when she says “thats a little bit more information then i needed”
i love the ending when Vince and Jules start to walk out of the restaurant and the surf music starts playin and with everyone looking they turn their bodies and casually put their guns in their shorts. that is so bad ass

SERIOUSLY THAT IS ONE OF THE FUNNIEST LINES
Everytime I watch this movie with someone I’m the only one to laugh at that…i wonder why
My favrite moment has to be right at the end in the diner when Jules and Vincent look at each other for a moment, then look away and tuck their guns under their jerseya at the same time and walk out…the comedic timing on that was perfect.
