I couldn’t find the Chuck topic, so i started a new one.

Do you know if you can get that story off of the internet? i heard about it a while back, and ever since then i have really wanted to read it. i have heard that many people passed out or vomited just by listening to this short story read out loud and one man even went bonkers and started barking like a dog.

Its also being released in print as part of a volume of short, horror stories by him later this year. I’m looking forward to it.

Man, I love Palahniuk.
Choke had lots of potential, but in the end it kinda failed to deliver. Dunno why. I liked Survivor better. Absolute brilliance. I’ve never had a chance to read Fight Club, although I’d like to, because it’s one of my top 10 movies, and a novel is almost always even better.
I just adore his style.
I almost forgot:
Fans of Palahniuk’s style: be sure to read stuff by Irvine Welsh, too. “Trainspotting” is a masterpiece, but if possible, I love “Filth” even more. There has been many one star reviews of this book, but I think it’s marvelous. I guess it’s just one of those novels that you either love or hate. Nothing in between

it was ok - something different from him - his book LULLABY was tough for me to get through. I really liked Survivor, Choke & Fight Club though
I agree that Lullaby was tough to get through, particularly the middle…I rank the Chuck Palahniuk books like this:

I listened to it this morning, and boy that was some messed up stuff. A couple of moments I almost felt like hitting pause or something. Really been playing through my mind all through the day, when the details fade from memory I’ll feel better 
Although I’ve only read Fight Club, Palahniuk’s got a very witty style.
That was great. Palahniuk is so fucking awesome.
I have yet to listen to “Guts”, but I have to say Palahniuk is one of my favorites, and I’ve only read Fight Club and Choke. His writing just kills me.
All that stuff really happned, he didnt really know those ppl, but when he was researching for Choke, he started talking to ppl about their horror stories, and i guess he got so many that he just wrote a short story about it.
