Nublob, all of them definitely were and are terrible actors. They’re some kind of legends because they played in numerous cheap and shitty action movies.

Couldn’t you tell I was joking?
This thread is becoming ridiculous. We need facts.
well there are none so we need to be imaginative

argh damn it i want sum news ^^
Well, through doing a bit browsing I finally came across the old article where QT gives his first impressions on IB and the character of Babe Buchinsky: Quentin Tarantino in France Shooting WWII flick allegedly called GLORIOUS BASTARDS'
It’s also interesting to note that he said he had done half a year of research…schooling himself in WWII before he began writing, something which wouldn’t seem apparent from reading the script now, haha. But I guess he needed some starting point.
And now I finally know where the plot synopsis and such details originated from. I have to say I wish the plot was more along the lines to how he described it back then, when the script was in its early days but what are you gonna do? (I don’t like where it’s at now; it seems anything but a WWII epic and rather a concoction of European cinema with a WWII guise.) I’m really hoping it’s at least on the level of Kill Bill, going from the script it’s a tough one, but I’m still not giving up hope yet. I’d bet the whole Shosanna storyline was in and around the time Kill Bill had been written too, a lot it mirrors that style of writing. Should still be intersting to see how things turn out, bring on the news!
The story line isn’t anything like any of those, not much. It’s a bunch of guys on a mission, but not like a handpicked… a bunch of guys thrown into this situation and having to deal with it.
…They’re on their way to be executed, all right and they get this reprieve kind of situation. Stuff like that. Not your normal hero types that are thrown into a big deal in World War II.
What amazes me about this script is how much of it revolves around movies, movie theaters, movie stars. They discuss movies, read books made into movies. This is more a movie about movies rather than World War II in a way. I know that his world view stems from movies but it has never been more apprarent than it is in this script.

Well, imagination is running thin, which is why I (and as I see, you too) need real news.
I just have to say how unimpressed I was by the Kill Bill script compared to the hype and expectations… the film turned out 10 times as great… just on a sidenote
So have you read the script yet or have you managed to steer clear?
“Do you know what Gone In The Wind is all about? It’s all about this cooze who’s a regular fuck machine…”
“Hey fuckhead, we’re supposed to talk about how we’re gonna kill Hitler. Shut the fuck up”.
lol is that from the script? sounds awesome

Really? It was the opposite for me. Not that I didn’t enjoy the experience watching the movies, but for me the script was all around more entertaining. Yuki’s Revenge, for one, just elevated a whole lot for me, reading that and imagining how it would play out. Plus I preferred Bill and The Bride on the beach rather than the spotaneous finale.
Considering my impressions with the IB script I REALLY hope it’s the opposite in this instance.

Yeah, I was surprised to see just how far that kept going - but that didn’t really bother me a lot - it was just what the whole thing seemed to be about, as well as the serious under-development of the Bastards (not that I just wanted the entire thing to feature them, but I expected more). They seem to be just there to give the story another angle. I mean I loved the first chapter, but as soon we got back to Shosanna it was like, “No Quentin, we don’t need the little orphan story amidst your WWII epic”!
Anyway, I’m getting off topic, so over and out for now.
im kinda worried about what u guys are saying. i only read the first chapters, but i mean… is the shosanna part really that bad?

I didn’t say it was bad. Just that it didn’t interest me and I couldn’t believe what I was reading in QT’s decade-long-in-the-making WWII epic. After reading things like the plot synopsis that QT revealed years ago etc. I expected a lot more, even the Bastards didn’t impress (with only two or three of them standing out), I liked reaching their introduction (and mission, if you can call it that now) but then it became, "Where are they?"
Read another chapter for yourself, you may have different opinion…
Why dont you guys stop reading the fuckin script and go see the movie when its released then make up your minds?
Kinick: Youre in the CAST Speculation/rumors topic btw. Not the: SPOIL THE FILM FOR EVERYONE AND COMPLAIN ABOUT IT topic.
Im asking you to stop doing this please. WTF? Who cares? I have the script too, but im not reading it.

Because I want to know if the movie is worth anticipating for or not.

Yeah, sorry about that, got a bit carried away with replies. Just want to let people know what they’re in for. not the thread to do it though.

Its a Tarantino film. Its always worth anticipating. If you really dont think you are into it, then dont bother seeing it. But dont spend this next year complaining about it. Thats all I ask.
To be fair about this maybe we should have a special topic for all complaints and things you dont like about the script. Then everyone will know where to go and you guys can say whatever you want. Then we’ll save any arguments about this from happening in the future. Mark it as a spoiler topic if u want.
