It’s not about whether I’ll decide to see it or not. Of course I will. I’ll probably anticipate it until we see the first trailer at least, but it doesn’t mean I can’t voice my opnion up until then. Until negative opinion is frowned upon then I’ll probably say what I believe. No-one wants this to be a masterpiece more than me.

Yeah, that’s not a bad idea, coz I’m not out to hate…just to specualate. It’s clear your problem here is not about spoilers being revealed, but about negative opinion being aired. But that’s all it is, individual opinions; if you share similar tastes and mindsets with me, then there’s a reason to not want to hear it. I just don’t want to be build myself up to one big disappointment. But if you’re in the mindset of just going in to love it, then there’s nothing to worry about.
I just want to say this: everyone in here needs to keep the spoilers down, or i’ll have to put a spoiler warning on top of a topic that by its nature shouldn’t be too spoilerific. and also I think it’s bullshit to rant about a movie that’s not even made yet, just because the script doesn’t meet somebody’s crazy expecations wherever those originated from…
so please… don’t spoil people who haven’t read the script, which is still mostly everyeone
Kinick: Its both to be honest. I dont really want to hear story spoilers or negative comments about the script right now but they sort of go hand in hand actually.
Id rather start from the beginning and discuss casting and go from there until I actually see the film. Then after I have the whole picture to judge from, then talk about what I like/dont like. I just like to give some respect to QT as an artist in a way before I judge his work.

I’m a member of the LOST forum and people used to drive me mad with spoilers for that show. I find it helpful even if people just write SPOILER at the top of their post so that we know not to read it if we don’t want to.

Very much true. That’s why I kinda deserted most of Inglorious Bastards topics. I like to read about the movie but I try to avoid real spoilers, that’s why I don’t want to read the script and everytime I come here I hear about new names of characters, I forget about them instantanely. But sometimes the spoilers are HUGE like…

What do you expect? In a topic regarding casting news and speculation you’re gonna hear the names of whom people are being associated with.
You really can’t hold people posting in here responsible for revealing character names, can you?
Character names is one thing, thats not really spoiling the movie, its not telling you what they do or their place in the film, but story/plot points is another. Im sure by the time we see the film we’ll know alot of the characters names.
If you dont want to know one single thing about the film, then just dont go into any of the IB topics I guess.
This is about casting spec and rumors that means actors we’d like to see, who might be in the film and actual cast members. That doesnt mean telling about that certain scene they’re in that you like/dont like. Thats a spoiler. So again if you really want to discuss plot/story/scenes, just open a topic for it.

Yeah, that’s what I meant. Not really about characters names. But about everything related to these characters, scenes and all.
Read in the French press that Romain Duris and Vincent Cassel might join the IB cast. Even though both actors are no De Niro, I thinks these are good choices because very few young French actors of today have a genre cinema experience and a certain charisma.
