There are 3 Bruce Lee movies which have different names in different countries.
The Big Boss - Fists of Fury
Fists of Fury - The Chinese Connection
The way of the Dragon - Return of the Dragon.
The reason for this is beyond my knowledge. ÂÂ

and these names are only for fist of fury (I’m from europe)…very strange…does anybody know why?  help me out I wanna know! is it promotional shit? or what?
If I were to rank Bruce’s movies, it will be something like this:
1.) Enter the Dragon - there’s not much to say about this kickass movie that not has already been said. I’m just gonna say that it is one of my fav films ever.
2.) Fists of Fury -Features my favorite Bruce Lee performance. If you wanna see Bruce going berserk, you have to see this movie.
3.) Way of the Dragon - The final fight scene with Chuck Norris is brilliant, and the movie is worth watching for that alone. Features a sort of twist ending which I didn’t particularly enjoy. And it tried too hard to be funny during some parts. I think Bruce asks for the toilet a total of 3 times during the course of the film.
4.) The Big Boss - Bruce’s first film, and it shows. Quite cheesy, but enjoyable nonetheless.
5.) Game of Death - Bruce Lee’s final fight is great, but the rest is a travesty.
I also like the fact that all of Lee’s films are essentially revenge movies. In Enter the Dragon he avenges his sister, in the Big Boss he avenges his cousin, in Fists of Fury he avenges his martial arts master and in Game of Death he basically avenges himself.
I totally agree with scarface…I would also like to add:
- in bruce lee movies, bruce usually may not fight in the beginning but at the end, or half way he lets every promise go and just kicks ass bruce lee style and gets his revenge…
- which turned out the only way that he could do anything about the situation…and he should have begin to fight earlier…in the end bruce his character is always right…
- the music is sooo fucking cool…es spes the opening of the big boss…gooseskin…
- I grew up going on vacation with my aunt and uncle and every year for 6 weeks during the day…I watched 2 or 3 of these movies…I loved them so much…other kids watched cartoons…I watched bruce lee…thats why I love kill bill that extra little bit…again gooseskin and memories of me watching bruce lee the whole day…lol…
Ive been into Bruce Lees movies since I was a little kid. I love them all.
Bruce Lee is my fuckin idol. He is the original bad mother fucker. I have all of his videos and i love them almost equally, but i would have to say that the best made one is ETD and the ones w/ the best fight scenes are Chinese Connection and Return of the Dragon. and i stress again, do not fuckin see Game of Death-that is a piece of shit. go rent A Warrior’s Journey instead, it has all of the fight scenes in Game of Death plus many minutes of new ones. there is actually a fuckin nunchuk battle in it, it is so great
I ordered the ENTER THE DRAGON SE DVD a few days ago. I am really looking forward to it.
I have never seen a Bruce Lee movie from beginning to end, it’s about time I do that
I have the Bruce Lee 30th Anniversary Box set. Everyone who likes his movies should rush to the store and buy the fucker
It has his The Big Boss, Fist Of Fury, Way of The Dragon and Game of Death, plus a SHITLOAD of extras and a little book.
who else digs the spaghetti-western-like intro music from Fist of Fury?
they also used Harmonica’s Song for Chuck Norris’ entrance in Return of the Dragon
And you guys all have the SE Enter the Dragon dvd, right? Go watch the documentary A Warrior’s Journey NOW. Fuck all his other movies, this one pwnz them in a heartbeat. We only get to see 40 minutes but those 40 minutes are some of the most ass kicking and realistic fight scenes i’ve ever seen in a movie. Especially the double nunchaku battle. Imagine if Lee had gone on to make this instead of ETD

Only second to the intro music from the big boss…

that’s only on the NEW SE right, i mean the new one in the digipak with the 2 discs. the “old” SE - which I own - is basically the same but it misses out on that warrior’s journey documentary and its just one disc (flipside = extras)
Had Bruce Lee finished Game of Death, it would have been his best movie, by far. The original story was awesome and the fight scenes that remained kicked ass! Especially the fight Danny Inosanto, with those nun-chucks and escrima sticks!
I agree, the fights are amazing! especially the one against that giant dude. man, i will buy the DVD anyways, even if the rest isnt all that real, but still, they used Bruce’s notes and ideas to shoot the rest, thats okay in my book. after all, the man is dead and they wanted to finish his dream

You know who that giant dude was right? Legendary basketball player and one of Bruce’s former students, Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
He also trained my man James Coburn.

I bet if Bruce lived on Coburn most likely would’ve ended up in one of Bruce’s films like Norris, Jabbar, and Inosanto.

lol…
yeah fist of fury is chinese connection and the big boss is fists of fury…I believe
confusing as fuck
when I replied to your post I was just having some confusing fun…

lol, wtf were they thinking anyway, they effectively made it so that two different Bruce Lee films have the same name (in different versions etc)!!!

I heard they originally wanted to rename ‘The Big Boss’ as ‘The Chinese Connection’ (because The French Connection was such a hit, and both films have drug theme) but they accidentally mixed tapes and that’s how ‘Fist of Fury’ became ‘The Chinese Connection’ and ‘The Big Boss’ became ‘Fist of Fury’. When they noticed their mistake, it was alredy too late. They had to make some difference between the names, so they decided to add “s” to ‘Fist of Fury’, therefore ‘Fists of Fury’.
After ‘Enter the Dragon’ being such a huge hit, they tried to market ‘Way of the Dragon’ as a sequel to ‘Enter the Dragon’. So, they renamed it to ‘Return of the Dragon’. And then we have Game of Death 2 aka Tower of Death. I don’t even know which one is the correct name. It’s also possible that these are two slightly different cuts of the same film.
