Best zombie movie
You left out Lucio Fulci’s “Zombi”. A zombie fighting with a shark, pure brilliance.

If you’re referring to the poll, the movie’s there. It’s listed as “Zombie Flesh Eaters”, its UK Title.

Oh, i’m so stupid. LOL ::slight_smile:

The Evil Dead isnt really a zombie movie - cause the people are possessed not zombifyed - corpses are possessed but there still not zombies cause zombies don’t explode with huge hands coming out of em - just getting nit picky

actually what the hell everyone just calls them zombies anyway :stuck_out_tongue:

1. Dawn Of The Dead (Romero) 2. Day Of The Dead 3. Zombi (Fulci) 4. The Beyond (Fulci) 5. 28 Days Later (the genre at last changes with this truly freightning film).

28 Days Later

Is this really a zombie movie? I mean, those people are not dead, just infected…

EDIT: Shit, this has been said on the first page.

Yes and no. Think of it as zombies that are not dead with more enhanced abilities than your usual Romero zombie. The “infected” are no longer themselves they became monsters, I think of them as flesh-eating ghouls.

I agree with what you said but not what you ment… ahh whatever

Oooookay. Another good zombie film that wasen’t included in the list is “The Beyond” . Goodnight and good luck, gorehounds.

George W is a zombie

is Evil Dead a zombie movie?
Pretty much.

My favorites are:

Zombi, Dawn of the Dead (original), 28 Days Later (not technically a zombie movie, but who cares), Evil Dead, Re-Animator, more

no it’s not

It’s a horror movie with zombies in it. So yeah…pretty much.

Versus is more of an action flick than a zombie flick, but it does have zombies in it…so I guess it could technically be called a zombie movie.

no zombies in Evil Dead, “Demonic Possession” is what it’s called, nobody raised from the grave, they simply got posessed by the evil spirits of the Book of the Dead

So what you’re basically saying is that you agree with me?

wonderfull defence

i’m right, you’re wrong, end of discussion

Yeah Thats what i said… but apparently its a very common misconception…

Deadites.

I am not going to argue that they are zombies, but I will say that zombies are “a dead body re-animated by unnatural means”. If I had to argue that it was a zombie film, I would be able to easily, though I think it’s style is different anyway, so I have other reasons.

But things such as zombies are as diverse as vampires. Vampires can be created through birth, death or burial, although not all parts of the vampire myths are used in all films. Legend has it that vampires have Obsessive Compulsive Disorders and a way to prevent them sucking the blood of innocents is to leave seeds or beads next to their grave. When they awake they are compelled to count them and then spend all night counting, leaving the humans alone. But when was the last time you saw that in a vampire film?

It’s not over until I say it’s over.

And you’re still wrong.

Well yeah except that Deadites arnt always a dead body reanimated they dont always posses the dead they can posses the living and those living body’s can banish them… which is purely a matter of possession… since the book of the dead states that Deadites are possessed by kandarian demons… I think occasionally though people involved with the production have referred to Deadites as Zombies but the hole thing is mincing with terms a little… :-\ The last time i saw the hole counting obsessed vampire thing was in some old episode of the X files… apparently all you have to do to beat a vampire is throw rice at it and run… Anyway i really think Deadites are an interesting zombie themed monsters… being more threatening and dangerous… also its pritty hard to argue over the nature of deadites since what they can and cant do is pritty sketchy in the films… but they all die the same and isnt that all that matters?
