Best zombie movie

At the end zombies were everywhere. In Dawn Of The Dead they were already everywhere at the beginning. No matter where they flew, it was full of zombies.

Who can explain this to me - why did the young cop shot himself after killing the zombie? As I recall, he wasn’t bitten.

I guess it spread so quickly for the same reason the Puerto Rican guys were keeping the undead in their basement. Everybody was reluctant to exterminate his family members, because nobody actually believed their relatives were actually “dead”. So the zombies basically took advantage and bit them, like what happened to the black woman in the beginning. And I always thought the young cop shot himself because he couldn’t withstand all the horror he saw in front of his eyes.

At first I thought the zombie was his relative or something. But maybe he just didn’t want to live this way, like the black guy in the end almost shot himself too. Yeah, he looked yound and unexperienced.

Yes, and when those Puerto Rican guys were shooting at the police - were they protecting the dead hoping to bring them back to life? I guess so.

They were protecting them yes, but not necessarily because they thought they could find a solution. As Peter says when he discovers them, “they thought there’s still respect in dying”. They didn’t want some random blokes to exterminate them like cattle, at least not before they’re given their last rites by a priest.

God, it’s a great movie… I love how they don’t go Hollywood by explaining everything three times then showing random dramatic/heroic bullshit. I love how you have to figure these things out, and the screenplay is damn original too. And the beginning is great, shaos, anarchy, you feel the panic. I love the place where they fly over the woods and land for fuel, it’s great, gotta love that atmosphere there.

I know, it’s got so many classic scenes. Like when Peter shoots Rodger after turning into a zombie. That must be my favorite scene. The only thing that seems to bug me is the ending. Like when Peter decides at the last second not to kill himself and goes up the roof and begins to kick random zombie ass with a heroic tune playing in the background. I would have largely preferred if they included the alternate ending…with Peter shooting himself and the chick flying off alone. That would have been ace.

Well, that just showed how much Peter kicks ass. I almost never believed that he’ll shoot himself. I’d prefer if the zombies caught the girl and ate her, then Peter would be seriously fucked up.

Anyway my favourite scene is where Stephen is looking for the zombie in that pipe room. It’s cinematically perfect - the shadows create such bizarre feeling, the watcher is just as bewildered as Stephen. Also I love the scenes in the little abandoned house where the kids are. Yeah, and totally unforgettable is when the elevator door opens and we see Stephen as one of the Dead, perfect.

This movie is the peak of the zombie cinema, it’s the most unforgettable I think, a living classic. Also it shows much more than just kicking zombie ass.

best part is still Tom Savini with his machette beheading away, it’s great

now that i think about it, i might like it more than Night

Fuck the motorcycle gang, fuck them, made the movie uncomfortable, they were unnecesarry, good he died in both this one and FDTD.

haha i love em cause were supposed to hate em, cause we got so close with the main characters, everyones like “damn, why to these guys have to fuck it up?” i understand em, its everyone for himself at that point, i would probably invade the mall too, i love Savini, hes one of my heroes, dont forget he did one of the best makeup jobs ever in Dawn, plus great stunts too, they show that in the documentary, when that one guys falls off the balcony into the fontain, like a 10meter fall, he actually did that shit like it was nothing, haha he’s crazy

I’d change them to a bus full of third grade students going on a school excursion, all the kids would invade the market, zombies would eat them anyway, but it would’ve been much more interesting.

[/quote]Tom Savini returns in The Land Of The Dead as a zombie…he’s on screen for like four seconds, slashing people with a big fuckin’ knife.

great, i still havent seen it, i dont think its for rent yet here

I’m not really a fan of zombie-movies but I have seen Shaun Of the Dead and it rocks

Dawn of the Dead, no questions asked. Obviously the best zombie movie ever. That blood is so fake. I mean you can tell it looks fake because it’s bright red like orange almost. But it somehow fits the movie so well.

And the great lines like: When there is no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth. And: Why do they come here? Instinct I suppose.ÂÂ

Land wasn’t as good as Night and Dawn, but definetly was better then Day, which was still a pretty good zombie flick.

I voted for Dawn, the original. Shaun of the Dead is def my favorite, but Dawn of the Dead is the best. And it always will be.

Night of the Living Dead is a classic, no doubt. But, I picked Shaun of the Dead…very funny flick

haha.

Someone mentions a friend named Shaun and in come Copperhead.

“Did I mention that I have a forum about SHAUN of the Dead?”

haha

You left out Lucio Fulci’s “Zombi”. A zombie fighting with a shark, pure brilliance.
