Im getting sorta antsy myself. I gotta stop drinking this iced coffee too, thats def not helping.
What I do is when its cold out, I drink hot coffee. when the summer comes I switch to iced coffee. I gotta drink coffee in the morning to wake up though.
Basterds: No idea what will happen. I just hope that the film knocks everyone out and it gets glowing reviews.

They’ve been popping up for while now already though. I’m hoping Quentin will turn a lot of those around (myself included).
If it’s a great movie, it should get great reviews. And I also think, if it IS, why would they continue to say he’s lost if he gets right back up there with a cracker?
If it’s bad, it’ll more than likely get bad reviews. And you can’t do nothing about that, because he’ll be proving something.

I seriously have this image in my head of IB ending suddenly, and everyone in the audience just sort of staring in in a silent awe of what they just witnessed. Then a few seconds later some snob journalist from The Guardian stands up, wipes the tears of joy from his face and begins to clap slowly. The whole 1000 person crowd follows suit and a roar of applause, begging for an encore, and just a single glimpse of The Master. I think IB will prove to the world that QT has surely not “lost it” Of course we already knew that. Except for Kinick, who thinks that he probably could have lost it. Or did I get that wrong, Kinick? Anyway, just because he made a smaller project with a different concept that didn’t meet the high expactations doesn’t mean he has lost it. IB will proof this.

I call bullshit on that statement. Even on Rotten Tomatoes, a “Rotten” moniker is no indication of whether a movie will be great or not. Sorry, but it’s presumtions like “If critics like it, I’ll like it.” that have really put a black eye on the cinematic experience, IMO. I read reviews like the rest of you, but I would never put a critic on a higher level than myself or any other person. They aren’t mutants with the super ability to “rate and review” films.
QT is a great filmmaker and I think everyone knows that even the critics. However, I think the critics tend to like to tear down a filmmaker who is too successful and too talented. QT is a victim of this. Spielberg probably hasn’t gotten the credit he deserves over the years because of it. I think most film critics are all frustrated filmmakers at heart anyway. They just didnt have the talent or drive to make it so they criticize others that do

It means what it means. Of course you know. But as you said, I’m talking about the rest of the world. IB is the decider of whether or not he has lost it, for me. That’s OK, if you’re saying IB will prove this. I said that too. I was talking about if it doesn’t and gets out and out terrible reviews then it will just add to what people have been claiming. Well Kinick has made clear before that he wants different things out of a Tarantino movie and I can respect that opinion, even if I don’t agree with him. He makes sense to me and I think there are many more who think like him
Also, I have a gut feeling that IB will be a smash hit at Cannes with the critics. Don’t ask me why, I just feel it.
