After Inglorious Bastards?

80’s Scifi mixed with 80’s Post Apocalpse

Too bad he loves the 70’s

i think he should cover cmedy again. four rooms was great, but imagine that humour with all new settings and characters. not too mention a good story like pulp but, comedy.

He said that he might do a bio pic on John Brown, who is his favorite american becuase he got rid of slavery-those were his words-and that he may do that but it will most likely be his last film when he is 59/60 and he might play him becuase he thinks he looks like him…this was from an interview on April 5, 2007 on the Charlie Rose show, you can watch it on google video

When kill Bill was out in an interview with French mag Telerama, QT mentioned a script he started to write along KB and IB. The plot was about two brothers who forget to wake-up the day of their father’s funeral.

I don’t care what he does after IB.

i remember he said that when he first started writing pulp fiction he had seen ‘rosencrantz and guilderstern are dead’ and that he was going to have gary oldman and tim roth as a two hitmen double act in a comedy. id still love to see something like that coz those guys are great, itd be excellent if he could work that idea into similar characters for inglorious bastards

considering the alleged size of the script and his previous play with cinematic structure, wouldnt it be great if inglorious bastards was a pynchon-esque epic? with loads of characters weaving in and out, QT would be the perfect guy to pull it off

gary oldman is a terrific actor, i have never seen him in a comedy so that would kick ass.

lol we’re talking after IB while he hasn’t even started IB…

As some of you probably know, ‘Tintin’ will be put on the big screen in a trilogy, Spielberg is doing one and Peter Jackson is doing the other and the third director hasn’t been announced yet, but there are rumors QT wants to do it.

it’s number 4. The guy who writes there is a sarcastic prick so I hope it is just BS

QT?

God, I hope not.

thats bullshit

That moron just wanted to write an unfunny joke, that’s all

i remember that interview he said he wanted to make one with Sam Jackson and Larry Fishburne as well… but then he add (if i remember correctly) smg like: “well these are ideas, you can’t do all of them!”

the tintin films will shoot next year so there is no way he will do it… (considering that IB is next)

yeah, i think vince and jules were probably written out of that initial idea of oldman and roth as hitmen though

I think we will have to wait till fall or so to find out what QT will be up do. AFTER planet terror and death proof have been making their turns worldwide… then he’ll probably start on something. and we’ll have to see whether it’s IB or some other project that catches his attention.

He should definitely do Inglorious Bastards next, no question, but it is indeed interesting to speculate what he’ll do after IB. I don’t know if he should do a 100% western, I think it’s cooler when the influence is more subtle, as in Reservoir Dogs kinda being some sort of modern variant of The Good, The Bad And The Ugly. And yes, I know it’s QT we’re talking about, but just because he has some non-subtle influences, doesn’t mean he can have some subtle ones. And now I’m apparently arguing with myself, so I’ll stop here.

But it would be cool to see a QT film that doesn’t necessarily cover something dark.

his films are both… i mean pulp fiction ends bad for travolta but for sam jackson and bruce willis it ends very well! same with the bride though she goes through hell at the end and kills the man she loves, she gets her kid back!

It sounds to me like QT is doing IB next but I dont think we’ll be seeing it in the theaters. Its going to be a mini series that we’ll watch on TV like Band of Brothers.

After IB, maybe his Hixploitation film. Who knows. Thats not gonna be for a lonnnng time.

I wanna see him make:

Inglorious Bastards

2 Spaggethi westerns

A Comedy

a cop film
