She was one of Bill’s protege’s and she was present at the chappel…Any theory’s??
She didn’t actually harm the Bride physically, and the Bride didn’t intend to kill her anyway, so logically she wouldn’t be in the list. No theory needed.
Sophie punches Bebe in the chappel before her phone rings. Her intentions are to kill anyone who attempted to kill her in the chappel. We dont know her intentions until she drops her at the hospital
i think she is not in the list because she is not an assassin like the other, she is not a part of the divas.
I agree with Tony, she’s not a DiVAS member. Plus, I know this doesn’t make sense in the world of the film, but she was necessary to advance certain plot elements. Besides, the Beatrix cut off her arms and left her deformed. Some would think that worst than death.
totally right, that makes sense
she’d probably rather be dead than deformed
She didnt personally physically do The Bride harm but she was an accomplice. So she just got maimed instead of killed.

No she doesn’t. If you look closely, or freeze frame, you’ll see that the person punching Beatrix (not ‘Bebe’) has blonde hair and is in black clothes, indicating it’s Elle. Go look.
I think the reason why The Bride hurts Sophie is because she was involved at some point in the attempted murder even through she doesnt really touch the bride but the point that she was there and didnt even lift a hand to help or show any compassion.
I agree. I also don’t remember Sophie attacking the Bride. I thought she was standing back and watching the DiVAS beat the shit out of the Bride. They were all standing in a circle w/ the Bride in the middle getting sucka punched and kicked while Sophie was talking on the phone.
In the movie the Bride explains Sophie, like O’ Ren, is also one of Bill’s former students. Implying she is also a highly skilled assassin but rather than take a position as a DiVA she becomes O’Ren’s second in command. The film doesn’t explain why she chose this position. Maybe she is paid more as a second in command. Maybe she didn’t have a choice.
I think there was also some mention of Sophie being O’Ren’s attorney and her best friend. I have to watch KB again to be sure.
Anyway, I suspect Kiddo didn’t kill Sophie because she needed to use her to communicate with Bill. Cutting off Sophie’s arms sent a dangerous message to Bill that she means business. It was also a form of punishment because Sophie did nothing to help the Bride.
to me, the bride wants to kill her peers, her fellow assassins who betrayed her. sofie is from the legal affairs, there is no real connection between her and the others. for instance, even though they hate each other there is a connection, a strong link between the bride and elle. but sofie is not directly a part of the crew. she is not worthy.
