What was the film Tarantino supported from Kazakhstan?

I recently got done watching the criterion collection dvd of Taste of Cherry - freakin’ GREAT flick and when I watched the interview with the director he mentioned that Tarantino supported some sort of film from Kazakhstan. He never named it during an interview, but it really peaked my curiosity of it because everything QT touches or speaks of MUST be gold (as the myth goes, right? hehe) :smiley:



I was wondering if anybody knew what it was?

The reason why f*cking freaks are out there claiming “Hostel is directed by Tarantino” is because Tarantino touches to much bullshit which he shouldn’t even pay attention to…

I think the movie might be “Kin Dza Dza”, it is a space Odyssey, pretty great.
