it’s a close call between all of em, but especially Fargo, Miller’s Crossing and The Man Who Wasn’t

Well, I was thinking just like you, but I’ve finally chosen The Man who wasn’t there… Love The Cohen brother sometimes, but there are some movies which are too much coventionnal, like their comedies (Raising Arizona is great).
my favourites are Blood Simple, Barton Fink, the Hudsucker Proxy, the Big Labowski, Fargo and The Man Who Wasn’t There. Since I have watched Blood Simple the most I will go for that one. Basicly because I really like the camerawork, I love the narrative role it has in the film.
i will have to go with fargo cause it is just too good, it really is their masterpiece even though it sounds almost cliche to say so.
close would be raising arizona and o brother where art thou
but then again they all so fucking good, barton fink had the coolest ending, blood simple was just fucking cool all through and in the big lebowski, john goodman and john turturro were so good it was almost criminal

I went with O Brother, it was the first film that really got me into the Coens (I’d seen others before but never thought about or cared who they were directed by). I love bluegrass and I think the movie looks great, funny as hell too.
But wait, where was Edward Scissorhands? Big Fish? Ed Wood? Oh, wait…well they LOOK like Coen films anyway…wonder why that is. >:D
