The thing is I have been searching for a PT Anderson fan site - and there really isin’t one. Shame, shame, shame!

Anywho my favorite PT picture would probably be “There Will Be Blood” I just love Daniel Plainview’s character so damn much. If anything Daniel-Day Lewis was probably doing his own John Huston impersonation, just hear the dialect between them both and you will see the striking similarities. But I really love all his movies, I always put one at night, he’s sort of just grown on me like QT did back when I saw Kill Bill. It makes me wonder what other directors I will admire like these two impressive fucks.

So choose away bitches.

I should see more of PT Anderson. I have seen Boogie Nights but I want to see Magnolia. I got a crappy vhs copy but i think that’d ruin the movie. I’ll wait to see it on TV, I already missed it in theater, they played one night but I wasn’t free.

To answer the question, I LOVE There Will Be Blood. I think Anderson has done a real work to understand and give his own vision of the novel, which is very different in terms of ton and style. Daniel Day-Lewis has done an AMAZING performance.

I saw Punch Drunk Love twice. Once in theater, but I didn’t remember much of it, therefore I rewatched it this year. I don’t know. Visually, there’s nothing to complain about. But I don’t like Sandler that much and it seems a bit messy, confused, on purpose sure but still. I don’t know. I like the atmosphere a lot but it still looks unachieved. What do you think ?

There Will Be Blood was an amazing film. It’s a hard question though because I rewatched Boogie Nights again this year and damn that film is entertaining. I absolutely love the scene where Alfred Molina is dancing and singing along with Jesse’s Girl. And then there’s that long take of Mark Wahlberg watching him.

“I AM THE THIRD REVELATION!!!” - There will be blood just about pips magnolia as his best for me. Every frame this man has filmed is pure gold!

That look you saw was real, Mark was losing it - it was a six day shoot in that house with smoke blowing all over the place. And the firecrackers you see going off was straight from a Bob Downy movie. Boogie Nights is a sprawling epic - it takes you for a ride, just so fun to watch.

I think it is a terribly underrated picture. It’s a very unique romantic comedy. And I thought Sandler was fantastic. Compared to his other films this is very short, but I just love the Barry Egan character so much - he’s starting to change a bit when the film begins and you see why he is the way he i when he arrives at his sisters’ party. So much suppressed emotion there and he just looses it. I thought it was well presented in its structure. The ending of the movie is really just the beginning of Barry’s life - so it was just right. That’s the kind of couple they’re going to be. It’s so real. Usually you have these other bullshit romantic comedies with quirky women with ferrets and some other stupid shit.

Hey guys I found a very cool PT site. It has articles and news and some cool shit in it. Check it out:

Magnolia probably, but not by a long shot. Boogie Nights and Punch-Drunk Love are amazing movies too.

There Will Be Blood left me a little cold. It wasn’t a bad movie but I wasn’t tuned into what the point of it all was and the sudden tone change at the end didn’t fit either. And I wasn’t too crazy about Day-Lewis’ performance and him shouting things like “DDDRRRRAAAAAAIIIINAAAGGE, ELI BOY!!!” A great actor but not his best performance, I thought. If TWBB truly was as great as everybody else seemed to think, I would’ve declared PT Anderson a genius. For now he’s just a very good film maker.

Thats the best scene in the whole movie, and one of my all time favourites!! but yea more people should take alot more notic of PTA

Boogie Nights I love that movie.

I havnt voted yet… i dont like boggie nights… it just drags on and seems structure less in the latter half… and i might get my head bitten off for saying it but i thought the last scene in There Will Be Blood was over the top… to me it was some serious over acting…

i might vote for

Magnolia

or

Punch-Drunk Love

Boogie Nights doesn’t sag! It goes from Eddie Adams washing dishes to him fighting with his mom, and then bang he’s one of Jackie’s hot prospects. From there he becomes Dirk Diggler and lives the life until cocaine, jealousy and a massive ego seperate him from Jack. Then the cool, crazy stuff begins!

Punch Drunk Love is the only one I’ve ever seen. Loved it, but the rest just don’t appeal to me. I’ll probly see There Will be Blood just to see what the hype is about though.

Ive warmed up to there will be blood… mosty because its so memorable… i keep thinking things like “your a bastard from a basket” and " One night I’m gonna come to you, inside of your house, wherever you’re sleeping, and I’m gonna cut your throat"
