in every tarantino movie, there is someone locked in a trunk. In Reservoir dogs you had that cop, in Pulp Fiction he has the black guy who gets shot, in Jackie Brown you have that guy Samuel L. Jackson killed, in kill bill vol.1 you’ve got sofie fatale and in kill bill vol.2 you have a brief Uma in the back of Budd’s truck. I mean, i knew he had a foot fetish, but a “trunk fetish?”
It’s just a signature of Quentin’s. He’s not sexually attracted to trunks (trunk fetish?) he just likes that shot. Shit I like that shot too. They couldve easily put a trunk shot in True Romance, but they didnt. :-/

Has anybody seen Men In Black II?? I know it’s a shit film (I just found out now) and I noticed that they used a Tarantino signature trunk shot in the scene after Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones go to Agent K’s old house to collect the guns. Later one of them open the trunk which is like a sliding door, and it is the same shot QT uses. They then proceed to take their guns out of the trunk.

Sure The Bride was in a trunk, but she wasn’t part of the official ‘trunk shot’. That trunk scene in Volume 2 was NOT a proper Tarantino style trunk shot, and as Tarantino only uses one ‘proper’ trunk shot per film, he had allready used a trunk shot in volume 1 and so there was no need to include one in volume 2 as both volumes are indeed part of the same film namely Kill Bill.
