Everything that Patrick Swayze has ever said in a movie… :knuppel2:
I woke up to this 70’s movie once. I don’t know the name. But it was this motorcycle movie and this truck was chasing the motorcycle. This bitch was in the front seat in a high pitched voice yelling "Run him off the road Butch! Run him off the road!"
I always have though of that to be the worst line and scene I have ever seen.
Let us take a moment to worship at the altar of bad dialogue - Titanic
Jack: This is crazy…
Rose: I know… it doesn’t make any sense. That’s why I trust it.
Jack: I’m the king of the world!
Rose: I love you Jack.
Jack: Don’t you do that, don’t say your good-byes.
Rose: I’m so cold.
Jack: Listen Rose. You’re gonna get out of here, you’re gonna go on and make lots of babies, and your gonna watch them grow. You’re gonna die an old… an old lady warm in her bed, but not here not this night. Not like this do you understand me?
Rose: I can’t feel my body.
Jack: Winning that ticket, Rose, was the best thing that ever happened to me… it brought me to you. And I’m thankful for that, Rose. I’m thankful. You must do me this honor, Rose. Promise me you’ll survive. That you won’t give up, no matter what happens, no matter how hopeless. Promise me now, Rose, and never let go of that promise.
Rose: I promise.
Jack: Never let go.
Rose: I’ll never let go. I’ll never let go, Jack
That last one is the worst.
Yeah, especially because she does let go.
Road House - “You’re my saturday night kinda thing” - Patrick Swayze

Actually that line made me think of a great line from a James Cagney movie White Heat (1949)
"Made it, Ma! Top of the world! " He yells this just before he’s riddled with bullets and falls. Great movie.

Hate is such a strong word…I more dislike with a passion.
i always battle lines like that with realism “no you’re not the king of the world, you’re a fucking dead beat on top a big boat”
You’re wrong, that’s one of the greatest lines i’ve ever heard. And yes Titanic is better than Jackie Brown, Four Rooms, Natural Born Killers combined!

Surely that’s a matter of opinion. But a statement as ridiculous as that will only reinforce the beliefs my fellow Tarantino Archive Members have about you, namely; you’re an idiot and can’t appreciate true quality. In no way am I declaring that NBK or FR are quality, Jackie Brown on the other hand - is close to near-perfection, defined by true greatness.
And James Cameron’s “Titanic”, isin’t?

Ok, so we have thus established that you were wrong to say what you did. You are now asking me whether Titanic is close to near-perfection. I’ve got to admit, for all it’s icy goodness, Titanic just isn’t my cup of tea. I’ll probably never watch that film again. Conversely, I see myself watching Jackie Brown for years to come. But to each his own.
If you were to say something along the lines of “Titanic is a great film”, there is a certain amount of credibility to that argument. When you went about claiming that Titanic was better than 3 films combined, you have to understand why we would no longer take you seriously.

yes, you couldn’t be more right
Worst line of dialogue ever…
A bloke and his dog are walking in the street when the bloke spots the girl of his dreams sitting in a van.
Bloke:"Hi. I want you to meet my dog “Dog”.
Girl: "You named your dog “Dog”?
Bloke: "Yeah, I was first thinking about “Cat” but…"
The dialogue was so awful he didn’t even bother finishing the sentence. That line’s from Neon Maniacs by the way, THE cheesiest horror movie in the history of movies.
